But pricing wise and screen resolution is the same or 8+ has a btr resolution?
*
8+ is cheaper (but by only RM300) and has better screen resolution than the Xr.

My battery health now dropped to 90% not even 1 year old 8plus.

I suspect because been using 3rd party cable and charger. (Mcdodo + tronsmart 2.4A charger)

Could that be the reason. Not that im concern coz still manage to get 8hours SOT and 24H standby time, but think to go with battery replacement by machine before end year.

If you're keeping the phone for another year then yeah, might as well change the battery since it's on promo smile.gif

The 8 Plus is a beast of a phone still, but the design is the same as that of 2013's iPhone 6, so it's pretty tired and old. Why not consider the XR?
*
XR has the latest SoC but I personally feel the screen resolution
on specs sheet is a turn off.

Depends on how to take care of the battery also. But dropping 10% in less than a year is quite bad. Even my colleagues always play Pokémon go until battery die is only at 94%

Is it too late to buy ip8+ now? as the phones nowadays leaning towards face id and 'bezel-less'

I have the same feeling as you actually...im using a mate 10 right nw but nt sure whether to change to ip8+ would that be a good choise.

Quite dilenma on this and hope to get some advise here from oth sifu

Generally, just go for the latest model in the market. But of course it also comes down to ur budget. Like me, I would have gotten the X instead of 8 plus but X is way out of my budget.

Yes, charging during usage (gaming) will shorten the lifespan of your battery.

What is the screen on time do guys ussually get with the normal iphone 8? Im looking for option around rm 2300 and iphone 7 plus, iphone 8 and oneplus 6 are within my consideration.

Just curious whether a11 cpu is efficient enough to counter the iphone 8 small battery. This is me coming from mi a1

With 8plus easily can get min 8hours++ SOT, with standby time more than 24hours. But since my battery health dropped to 90% for almost 12months device, i hardly reach 6hours SOT dunno why. Still on ios11 tho, just my personal experience.

Check the XR thread : 9.9/10 has no serious complains on the display
View it yourself at the store to assess better
Personally I couldn't see any significant difference vs my XsMax. However I am just a old guy with specs and doesn't represent the masses

Are you going to replace the battery of your 8 Plus before the end of the year?
