Grab (formerly known as GrabTaxi) is a technology company that offers wide range of ride-hailing and logistics services through its app in Southeast Asia, specifically in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. As of July 2016, the number of drivers registered in the network was over 350,000, and the Grab app was downloaded onto more than 19 million mobile devices across Southeast Asia.

Ensure that you have taken picture of your IC, Driving License, your personal face picture, and Latest Car Insurance Policy (your name must be stated in the policy) for upload purpose.

Sign up with GrabAlpha (specialise on recruiting new driver. Does not need to go to GC centre for verification and training) (usually training will be provided face to face or in whatsapp group)

-Full Malaysian license (no ‘P’) + Malaysian IC
-Car manufacturing year 2008 or newer, minimum Myvi/Axia (economy)

- You might get second trip request even you have not drop off the first trip passenger. Just accept it and Grab will inform second trip passenger you are dropping off the first trip passenger. The second trip pick up location usually are very near or same location with the first trip drop off location.

GrabShare
- You might get 2 matched trips at the same time. Both trips passengers want to go same direction or same drop off location. So 2 passengers are only allowed on each trip. It will be either 1+1, 1+2 or 2+2 passengers.

GrabAlpha
- It is selected by GC for recruiting new driver in easier way.

- Good for full time drivers who want to maximize income.

Grab-Flexi Incentive Programme (The below requirement no longer effective. All new driver will get Grab Flexi incentive provided fulfill the requirement stated in your driver apps)
- RM5 minimum fare guarantee.
- RM6 minimum fare guarantee if achieve 50 trips per week.
- Other incentive (check from the website or driver apps)
- It is created for drivers who do not want to opt for hour guarantee incentive.

Grab-Pro (no longer available since 9th Oct 2017)
- Acceptance rate need at least 88%.
- Hour guarantee incentives.
- For drivers who have competitor driver apps.

Platinium Partner (no longer available)
- Priority Allocation as reward.
- Useful for full-time driver.
- Can get ping easily I believe.
- Enjoy Grab Auto benefits up to 50% (normal 30%)

Grab Ka-ching (no longer available)
- Purchase more credits with lower price.
- Good for full time driver.

Grab Hitch (no longer available) (removed on June 2017-before Hari Raya)
- Good for inter-state trip. Example Penang to KL.
- Able to get passengers from whole Malaysia.
- No need to pay commission to Grab.
- Toll bear by driver.

GrabFleet (no longer available from Septemper 2017)
- GrabFleet was created to increase the quantity of full time drivers in the market.
- It is only for full time driver.
- There is target base on the fleet. Most of the fleet require driver to work 60 hours and complete 105 trips per week.

Would you drive Dacsee if there is no incentive on peak hour? Do you think passenger will try Dacsee if there is no promo and low acceptance rate from drivers?

DACSEE - Decentralised Ride Hailing App
Since it is decentralised ride hailing app, I assume they have very low capital, no promo or incentive will be given, poor support from the company, new drivers have to rely on their upline (if the company fail means the recruiter are doing the charity job at the end).

I expect no drivers will accept short trips even the fare is higher than Grab or Uber. Passenger will not choose Dacsee too if fare is higher than Uber/Grab. Most drivers will accept airport trip and long distance trip only. Klang Valley coverage is big, no point for drivers to build their customer base and making loss due to far pick up location. It is not cost efficient. Drivers hate far pick up location.

From the company logo design and their business concept (MLM recruiting), I believe all new drivers have to buy the Dacsee token for starting. I assume it will end up like Delicab or Zeppon.

If not wrong the time follow customer booking time.

CLARIFICATION REGARDING INCOME TAX ON UBER
AND GRABCAR DRIVERS
1. The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) would like to draw the attention of
the media and the public to income tax charged on Uber and GrabCar drivers as
reported by the mass media recently.
2. Please be informed that the individual income tax charged on Uber and GrabCar
drivers is similar to the tax charged on an individual carrying on a business.
Income tax will only be charged on the net income arising from Uber or GrabCar
activities, as well as other income such as monthly remuneration received from
an employment, if any.
3. Just like any other business activity, Uber or GrabCar drivers may claim any
allowable operating expenditures incurred, such as fuel, toll, promotion costs,
vehicle repair or maintenance, and fees paid to the operator of the Uber or
GrabCar application if any, against the gross payments received in computing
their net business income.
4. The IRBM would also like to advise all individuals carrying on part-time business
activities as Uber and GrabCar drivers, tuition teachers, Al-Quran teachers,
makeup artistes, online sellers and others, to register their income tax file with
IRBM, and declare all their annual income received in Form B by 30th June every

year. Individuals must also keep all their business documents for seven years for
audit purposes in the future, if necessary.
5. It should be noted that an obligation to report such income does not mean that
the individual will be automatically eligible to pay taxes. The eligibility to pay tax
is still subject to the RM30,000.00 annual income threshold. The income tax rate
ranges from 0% to 28% depending on the bracket of chargeable income earned
after taking into account all eligible tax deductions.
6. The declaration of income will not only prevent any legal action taken on the
individuals as stipulated under the Income Tax Act 1967, but may prove
beneficial as it will provide them with an advantage when applying for financing
with financial institutions.
7. For further clarification regarding this issue, please visit IRBMs official portal at
www.hasil.gov.my or visit IRBMs service counters for tax advice.

Last year I get redmi note 2, the first day I use already got this kind of problem. My 6 years old samsung note 2 GPS still working perfect.
