Normally, I would be no problem to drive inside condo/flat/apartment area to their block, since often their blocks are quite a distance to walk to. I consider myself if have to walk the distance in this mid-age. Only problem in flats areas often the cars leave only enough space to pass thru, and sometimes difficult to get out.
But the security ask to wait outside, good too.

Almost similar case.
Accused of using non-genuine Driver App. Incentive RM250++ forfeited. C
Came to jaya one to get clarification, what was that making them determine that my driver app is non-genuine:
The answer is, they try to send job to me and failed. For that, they say there is problem with my phone - the app or the hardware.
I'm using Iphone 7 that never being sent for rooting or anything.

Remedy that they suggest me to do:
1. Send phone to shop, check if there any problem. or
2. Do reset (guess factory reset) then wait one day or more then only install driver app. or,,
3. Buy a new phone, bring to Grab complete with the box, receipt and warranty, they will photo and send to payment department

Then they will remove from the watchdog (maybe) for the job sending problem issues.

Think of getting another phone just for Grab.. (but no extra $$$) Iphone is too expensive for grab, and still considered crappy by grab. Privacy also breached somehow

Hmmm... because network problem, KLIA queue from 91-100 pushed back to 501-600. 3 hours wasted. Then after 401-500 again pushed back.

Had previously used another phone on another Telco set as hotspot, and the crap driver app phone ride on that hotspot, that week accused of using non-genuine driver app.

Wow! untung la get it 3.5 years. My batt died in 6 months. Warranty only 1 year or 20,000 km which is earlier. It is already 33,000 km, so cannot claim warranty.

Asked at Perodua. The new battery if purchased there (RM190 ordinary or RM195 MF) will get warranty for 30,000 km or 1 year and half.

Purchased at battery shop RM165 MF type.

My batt died because of mistake really, forget to turn off fog lamp. bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

Seen similar China-made charger in Lazada, but haven't purchased. Didn't think could leave lamps on like that.

Anyone can assure that mileage run does not affect battery life? In the past, mostly usable for more than 1 year and half. And mileage run over 30,000km.
Or it's just Perodua's policy.

I think the proper term is "AVAILABLE" or "UNAVAILABLE" status.

AVAILABLE means we can accept jobs.
UNAVAILABLE means we do not want to accept jobs.

Once we ACCEPT a job, we are on a job until we DROP OFF, or the job is cancelled. It is considered ONLINE.
While we are on a job, we can decide we are AVAILABLE for next job, when almost arrive to drop off location. Normally when we are 2km towards the Drop Off, there is chances to get the NEXT job.
POINT is, if we are 2-5 minutes away, fine. Problem if we are in heavy traffic, 15 minutes or more and unknown., we dont want next job assigned to us that time. Because passengers will likely to cancel. And we will get another after another.
In cases like this, way better to set UNAVAILABLE, until before we press DROP OFF.

Sometimes, I just stay there at the pin location, wait till can cancel without affect CR saying Passenger no show. But calculate also... if loss not much or bearable. If the ride is quite needed for myself, then go for them.

Some cases, passenger gives reversed Pup & dop.. Damn. tell them they wrongly order and ask to cancel.

Got this kind of fake bookings quite a number of times. Was in Sentosa Klang, got job to Kajang (not remember the fare).. about 500meters to arrive, passenger cancelled.. then another job for big fare also., cancelled halfway.

Cant say much other than "anak hareeee".

Send report of the cancellation. But sure GC will ignore them.

How do they get the "Avg Hard Braking Events / Ride" and the "Avg Sudden Acceleration Events / Ride" numbers?

Is it from passengers' reports or the driver app feature that reports by analyzing GPS data received while moving?

While having passengers, we usually drive as smoothly as possible, but going to pickup them, a bit rough driving la.
But to say average 5 hard braking per ride and 8.3 average sudden acceleration per ride seem doesn't make sense.

Any advice?

Not so worry about the numbers, but wonder if sometimes had to brake hard because a lot of bumps and potholes to avoid at many roads. Think still better to decelerate enough than to hit bumps at quite high speed. Where I cannot tahan the bump, I believe passenger also cannot tahan.

Speedwise, sometimes there are those leisurely driving quite slowly, got to overtake them. Often overtake taxis with passengers. Either we are too fast or the taxis too slow.

If the gyro / accelerometer the ones providing sudden acccel / braking info, can we deactivate them?

If there is way to know places we can get riders to specific areas, I'd like to know too.

The way in e hailing is that e-hailer receive trip requests and assign to drivers at random except those opting Set Destination, who will get rides considered along the destination route if happen there is any. So it is much on luck to get rides to places we like to.

Last time I got ride from Mentari Court to Bukit Tinggi. Viets maybe.. long time ago.

I did opt out to Flexi once after doing hg for quite some time. As a part timer, I found out it's not favouring me. Cannot get enough ride to get the commission payback. Not easy to get high fare jobs, almost always ikan bilis.. still need to maintain AR 50% something at least to qualify the bonuses .. by the Wednesday, I opt back to HG.

Nowadays, after work about 5:30 start off at Seri Kembangan, just follow till about 10pm. Then set My destination home to Semenyih. Usually if start my destination from PJ or KL, will get high fare jobs on the way back. Or go around MidValley camp a while. if 20 minutes no ping, just go home most likely empty.

Does any of these have any effect on riders? Or Grab still treat riders as king, no stern action on the actions that put drivers in difficulties and losses.

Yesterday I had a mapren for a trip from Zeva to AEON, then back to Zeva for rm8. stop 1 at AEON at KFC. Waited 3 minute already. By 4th minute I send message you exceeded 3 minutes already, no tick no response. waited till 8 minutes, I want to cancel but no option to cancel. (Upon arrival at AEON, I pressed Drop Off, so drop off 1st stop is recorded and not moving.) By then, it was about 10 minutes waiting, I press again DROP off and the trip ended technically., and I move out. Not getting fare payment. Not really affecting that rm4 on me. . Within seconds, I got the next ping and accepted. Then got a call, sure from the mapren.. saying where are you? I answered, I went off already, you have exceeded the 3 minutes stop limit and over by 10 minutes, he said aaa,, i hung up. after complete the next ride, give orange comment on the mapren trip, select abusive behavior and fare not received in full. Also explain that rider take very long stop and not responding to message.

Is it going to affect me aa?

Fake Bookings.

Damn. Shah Alam near Kemuning had 3 fake bookings before getting an authentic one. Got ping, move to the pup, send "I'll be there in few minutes" then passenger cancelled.

Next ping., on the move, send "I'll be there...". tick white, then replied "Ok". About 800m to arrive, passenger cancelled.

Next ping., on the move, send "I'll be there...". grey tick, call not answer, but then messaged back please call once arrive. Pup location was KTM Shah Alam. On arrival press "Arrived". Called but no answer, repeat call, again no answer. message not read. Had to cancel after 5 minutes. Fortunately, the next ping is authentic. Riders come right away.

Will Grab ever take any action on fake bookings?

Just cant fix the pickup location like that.

Often troubled, arriving at pin location, but rider a distance away. If good mood, ok la go there if direction clear. Otherwise, just stay there, wait 5 minutes and cancel. Rugi la, but what to do..
