I made several posts about this on the v3 thread when I tried Android Oreo.. the Crux of the issue is that Oreo version changes the way it serves GPS updates to background apps. so when Grab app is in the background( when you are on Waze/Gmap)... after a while it can stop updating GPS to grab app. then when you are back on Grab... the app thinks your location is wherever it was when it lost the GPS data.

hence you might get a ping to lot 10 when you are at Ampang point...app distance sure only 2km away but actually you're 8km away. reason is GPS was lost at jln sultan Ismail. this is my experience.

only solution is to downgrade back to marshmallow.

this issue will not get resolved until Android Oreo phones become common. until then Grab ppl will just blur and ask you to install GPS lock app which makes things worse.

back in October or September during evening rush hour their server went down... 2hrs I think from 6 to 8pm. no drivers...Uber drivers happy like mad... boost 3 to 4x I heard.

nowadays I always slow slow to press pickup... in fact only when car is moving then only press pickup. especially if mapren... or if waited long time. must train yourself not to a fast press pickup.

btw now GS can feedback unwilling to share.. you got report to CS?

last time so damn proud of his 4.98 after just 100 rides...., every day fetch less then 10 (5?) drivers, now already 4.96....gonna drop more as he drives more..... rclxub.gif

actually recently I got two females China students pickup from Ikea using GS. short ride. but they had furniture that take up all the space until no more a for other riders. lucky no match. I also didn't think about it until journey started.

hi grab official... are you aware we have a driver here who admitted and proudly shared here that he completed a job without a rider, get loads of Incentive from it? also solicited a side job after getting a ping from passenger to klia, but passenger cancel? if I'm not mistaken these are ban able offense right?

better focus high demand area. one there should look at is to incentivize drivers to pick up/drop off at KL city are during MP time. now not many, including myself want to go in city even though its MP and high fare... go there likely is 1 hour 1 job kind of thing...

according to others experience here before dax+pax must not exceed 25%... if you are very cautious must not exceed 21%. I have never exceeded this threshold of 21%b4 and have never receive that warning. how many jobs you completed last week?

interesting... I think they R really cracking down on cancellations now...on both driver and Rider side.

I seldom get pax now also as I heard they warning those riders who cancel 5 times in a row.

thanks to you two feedback about the grab love SMS, today I called CS to inform about my two Passengers cancellation without notification.... long time never do that d...

anyway to my surprise the CS told me now they don't help driver to put remark on this issue anymore... have to use help desk in app. select pax no show and put in comment pax cancelled without notification.
