I'm driving an Exora CPS 2015. Even a thirsty camel can't compete my car's thirst for petrol 😂

I though CFE is supposed to more fuel-efficient than CPS due to it requiring lesser power to move from standstill?

9l/100km is pretty much the same as my CPS, but I love CFE's kick when the traffic light turns green. Feels like a Porsche for a good second or two 😂

I'm still trying to find a sweet deal to trade in my Exora for Ertiga, might have to wait next year for it to happen. Proton claims Ertiga has a FE of 14km/l, but through my own experience, it was closer to 21km/l. Crazy tech.

Turns out the low number of pings received in Putrajaya is down to the majority of people here preferring MyCar over Grab due to cheaper fares.

Cheap fares will always be kings but drivers will be the one who suffer the most.

For some weird reasons, most of my riders in Putrajaya comprise of Bangladeshis. They really love Grab.

Many Bangladeshi riders don't mind paying for high fare too it seems. Makes you wonder how much they really earn working in Malaysia while we can only take a little bit off their income hahaha!

That 14km/l combined FC is roughly 60 town:40 highway but the 21km/l that I got was 20 town:80 highway. That's very, very good for a 6-seater MPV. Even an Alza gets thirsty first before this rebadged Suzuki MPV breaks a sweat.

If you drive a car that's low in FC, then more trips = more money.

Not the case for my Exora though.

My CR is currently hovering at 22% due to the AA throwing me to places that I don't want to go to. It's quite stressful looking at that figure so I've decided to be a flexi driver although I'm on the HG plan.

What I love with being an HG player is that I don't have to worry to top up my CW. My weekly incentive is always enough for the whole week.

But now I have to switch to a different strategy. Being a whale hunter leaves me with too much spare time, which I have been using to keep in touch with my clients.

I have no idea whether MyCar has b2b or not.

Pick up could actually be super far. It's not rare to see MyCar drivers complaining about the pup being 7-10km away while the fare is a meagre RM5. Luckily they don't have any AR requirement to stay on their platform but once you ignore or cancel a job(I don't remember which one it is), you'll have to wait for some time before you're connected back to the system.

Currently, 100% of the collected fares belong to the drivers as MyCar is yet to charge any commission-on-fares; but they will charge 15% in the future.

It's hard to say but most likely, no.

Some riders are too sensitive. You can laugh all the way with them, but they will wait to nuke you good. That's why I prefer to keep my mouth shut and just drive, unless the rider is clearly the easy-go lucky type.

I've been an insurance agent since 2007, so things like this don't surprise me anymore, although I'm still annoyed by it.

I really love GP ever since Grab introduced the same-day cashout facility. My preferred GP:cash ratio would be 80:20. I can always top up my CW easily with GP fares and I don't have to bring lots of cash in my wallet. Feels a bit safer and the less cash you have, the less you tend to spend.

I've once accepted a GS request from South City to somewhere in Setapak. I had to accept it to repair my AR. RM21 for 24km and worse of all there was no other GS match for that trip.

I've been a Grab driver for nearly one year and I've ferried many GS riders before. I've only so far received not more than 5 GS matches in my experience and I no longer entertain GS since January this year.

We're on the same boat man.

Maybe it's down to ageing, but I'm finding solace in driving a la flexi these days, although I do miss the extra income offered in HG but sod it man, at least it's less stressful. Big fare and long trip riders seem to be more relaxed too.
