Grab is working with Nutonomy in Singapore on driverless technology.

I said this before, Grab (and Uber at that time) should keep the fare and driver incentives reasonable, while generate auxiliary income from ads or other sources.

This is the change I would like to see in Driver app. If Grab staff are here hopefully they are relay the message to their software development team.

Normally I enable b2b, and navigate with Waze. When a new ping comes in, the Grab app pushes Waze into background.
I take a quick look at the job info, accept it, and manually switch back to Waze.

But now many of us have enabled AA. There is no longer a need to look at the job info. Ideally, the new job should just appear as a notification on top of the display, without blocking Waze.

It is cumbersome to switch between apps...

Then crap found me a matching job. The rider barely fit into my little car...

My rider produced his passport. The officer asked him, "what is your name?", "What is your date of birth?"
The Pinoy answered the questions correctly. The police then let us go...

I was at Serdang Raya when I got a ping. The rider was at APU new campus in TPM (Technology Park Malaysia).
Waze told me to go through the main gate. I was perplexed, because it would be shorter to go through the side gate near Standard Chartered.
I decided not to follow Waze's route.
Big mistake. TPM's side gate was closed on Sunday.
Since this was a GS job, I just touched the Cancel button...

Sometimes Waze or the mobile network is slow, need to click a few times.

I use U Mobile, can't comment about Digi. Try again at another location.

Once you fix the issue, here is one thing you need to be careful:
When you switch from Waze to Grab and back, for unknown reason, Grab will send past address to Waze.
Do not click Go. Just click Re-center to ignore it.

Sometimes non-toll route maybe slower by a few minutes only, but is also shorter compared to toll route. In those cases I may choose the non-toll route. Help the riders save money also.

However, during rush hours ETA of non-toll route is less predicted. It is better to stick to tolled ones.

Last time I got one rider use pin location. I called him to confirm location. Managed to find him. But the exact location was like 2km away.

After picking up the rider, I explained to him the issue with pin location, and asked him not to use it anymore.

What I learned last time was:
If you are driving at 30mph (50kph), leave a 3-cars space
50mph (80kph) - 5 cars space

Waze tells us to make u-turn only when it is explicitly allowed. Sometimes you can make u-turn at places without proper u-turn sign, which makes the distance a lot shorter.

Full timers only get a few KLIA trips per week; part timers maybe none in a week.
