Well,basically it need 3 frames of different of exposure is enough to produce a good HDR right.

Well,how about B&W HDR,still need 3 shots of different exposures to produce more details?

You'd still need different exposures to get the best out of the HDR image.
When we talk about the dynamic range of the picture, we do not mean the colour of the pixels, we only refer to the difference between the brightest and dimmest pixels aka the contrast of the picture.
Therefore you'd still optimally need various exposures to give the maximum dynamic range. =D

i still dont understand hdr ... u take a few shots use same setting or with different settings? and confirm need tripod rite?

erm...when we take 5 raw for ready making HDR, i affraid every time i shoot the photo all are not excatly the same because handheld, does it matter?

then what software to merge the picture? notworthy.gif

Take the exact photo using 3 different exposures.
Use tripod only IF you are using a very slow shutter speed.

Set you AEB to -2,0,+2

Shoot in RAW format better.(for me)

Then use photomatix to make HDR.

Use tripod then.
Set your camera to multi-burst mode.

Use Photomatix or try CS3

ohh i see. multi-burst mode will auto snapp 3 photo with less. normal and extra AEB. but do we need to set how many AEB to be LESS and Extra?

you can also try "Dynamic Photo HDR" software, i used it quite user-friendly..
