I also cannot brain the logic where this card

Monthly statement > RM 1500
6% cashback on Petronas , max RM 60
3% on groceries, dining , cashless parking , max RM 60

to max this out , RM 1000 in petronas is required, RM 2000 on groceries , dining, cashless parking is required

There is no need to achieve RM 4000 spending for 12% and 6% as both of them cap at RM 60 per category hahaha
Unless you use less fuel and use other spending to cover it.
*
higher cb %, less spending to achieve max cb per category

of course, provided you got consistent filler spend to hit min RM4k/mth --- imo, finding filler spend is relatively simpler/easier than spending for cb

lower cb % is ok too. just different spend. eg grocery/dining/parking need rm2k to hit rm60 cb ---- compared to just rm1k for 6% cb

Does anyone know if it's possible to request a pro-rated annual fee for just one month if I choose to cancel after that period

Holiday to KL
LOTUS, PASARAYA HERO, FAMILYMART consider Grocery category?
*
you need to be clear between CATEGORY (a general term used by banks by grouping few MCCs) and MCC itself

lotus and hero are using grocery mcc
familymart is using convenience store mcc

however some banks/cards like RHB grouped both grocery+convenience store as Grocery category

which cimb card are you planning to use for Grocery category?

Hi guys,

I've just gotten the Cash Rebate Platinum as my first card, but surprisingly infos are a bit scarce on the billing cycle and I thought it would've been included in the envelope as well.

Do you guys know where to view when the billing cycle starts/ends and the due date anywhere online, or is it only obtainable via a phone call to their agents? I tried tinkering around Clicks and Octo, can't seem to find those infos readily available.

Thanks in advance!

How strict is CIMB when looking at minimum income requirement?

I saw that CIMB Petronas Visa Infinite-i which minimum income requirement is RM120K p.a.
With my new salary starting from March, I can achieve about RM115K p.a., before any discretionary bonus.
*
you can try to apply and furnish more supporting income docs to support you

min income requirement is the base to filter applicants. it doesnt quarantee approval (like many ppl think), but at least passed this min requirement first before all other reviews.
