bleeding and flusing is referring to the same thing right? ie. replacing the entire brake fluid in the car with fresh fluid.

Bleed is release air.. They might not flush all clean

Let me just tell u a little secret to take care of the clutch pump..
Most of the old farts here do that and no issue.. Some done 300k ++ km d.. Without issue..

The fact is.. That the clutch pump is using brake fluid from the brake reservor.. Brake oil gets dirty overtime.. Dirt sips in etc. These dirty fluid goes into ur clutch pump will kill it. Coz dust.. Fine particle cause friction and damage seals..

The solution.. Flush ur brake oil every year.. Flush.. Not top up...
Many of us doing that and no complain on clutch issue.

and how to increase idle rpm? mine on idle static and a/c on, rpm is around 500-700rpm

Hi guys,

Im starting to have issue with when revving at 4k rpm and higher. Especially when going uphilll, the cvt whine very loudly. Never happened before.

Mostly when travel in the city. Max rpm 3k.no whine.

6 years old car. Now clocked 162k km already. Cvt oil changed at 160k.

Help much appreciated. So far still in love with this car.

Thanks!

If you never change the CVT oil filter, consider to change it.

Hello Sifus, need some advice here. I have a proton Inspira that has this message popping out saying Service required - Gear icon with exclamation mark(!)

What does this notification mean and if possible where can I send to service around Puchong area?

Thanks in advance.

It could be leakage from the seal of the clutch pump. I have this issue in my other car model previously. First I change the seal only, can’t solve it. Then it replace the whole clutch pump, then everything resolve. No more issue.

thats the "mushy" feeling when you step on the clutch pedal. whats the mileage? normally mechanic will suggest change both. you will find out the problem when you do clutch fluid flushing.

i guess the seal cannot be replace. the spring in the master clutch pump however can be replace if it is the spring problem (the spring broke into 2 pieces)

leaking guess the seal failed already. changing the whole thing is the best solution.

Hi all sifus,

Previously my dad 1.8mt service at Petrol workshop & Tayaria, after knowing that tayaria chop 99 because we got charged rm 435 per pcs 205/55/16 PS4 tyre for full tyres change.

After reading some of the post here and google around, we decided to look for better experience workshop with reasonable pricing that allow to bring own parts.

got quote from a workshop, is the price below reasonable?
1. EO labour -RM 20
2. Mitsu oil filter from workshop - RM 35
3. brake fluid flush labour- RM 40
4. Fuel filter change labour - RM 80

Can anyone recommend experience workshop & reasonable price around KL/PJ area?

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

clutch pedal soft/mushy feel is definitely gotta do with the brake/clutch fluid. nothing to do with transmission oil.
