Hi Guys,

Got my White lala yesterday and immediately regret because it had it's engine swap from campro laugh.gif

anyhow, i think i'd need to change some fluids eg: brake/clutch, gear oil, etc etc..

I've been told that Sontuc was one of those place which i can get those items at a good price. Just wanted to know if they are reliable as it claims or not.

Thanks

If your RPM is not stable and drop below 500 when your car stop at gear D, you better service it...

Hi guys

Want to ask 2 doubt below:-

1. If change spark plug, need to reset ecu using computer? SC guy told me need to check with computer if change spark plug..

2. I saw there are a lot seller selling air filter inside engine bay (not cabin filter) but at different prices. Some selling at rm20-rm30 and some claim ori selling at rm100++. i am a bit confused because the box still the same with mitsu logo and part number even for rm30 or rm100..any difference?if not, then better to buy rm30 rather than rm100..please advise

appreciate your reply.

thanks

Hi guys, I know you guys don't recommend getting this car.. but I really love the idea of owning a (rebadged) Lancer, so anyone can recommend a mechanic to checkout the second hand Insapla in Kajang area? Car dealer claims the Insapla has low mileage (around 60k KM) and was ex government car (from Spanco).

I test drove (someone here recommended test driving it before buying) the car last week, and seems to be okay, but I just want a mechanic/some pro Insapla owner to help me get a proper look. Will pay you if you wanna inspect the car.

Empower has a 2011 unit in very good condition. I spoke to the previous owner. He's taken very good care of the car and mods on it are worth the price. I've seen over 20 units and that's one of the best used car around. I got a 2014 unit instead but would highly recommend you to go see that car. You can contact Kenny Ng 017 866 9866 and say that Ivan recommended you to him. Nice guy to deal with. Good luck.

Hi guys, just got 2nd hand 1.8 manual. Read about the clutch issues and I guess I got lucky also. My car when cold (overnight) the clutch feels very soft and won't engage. After pumping a few times it firms up then can engage gear. But bite point very low. Sometimes after driving a while gets better.

Any idea which part needs change? Master pump is the one on top u fill in fluid right? Where's the slave pump? One shop I asked said possibly some oil seal in the gearbox where the clutch is?

Let me just tell u a little secret to take care of the clutch pump..
Most of the old farts here do that and no issue.. Some done 300k ++ km d.. Without issue..

The fact is.. That the clutch pump is using brake fluid from the brake reservor.. Brake oil gets dirty overtime.. Dirt sips in etc. These dirty fluid goes into ur clutch pump will kill it. Coz dust.. Fine particle cause friction and damage seals..

The solution.. Flush ur brake oil every year.. Flush.. Not top up...
Many of us doing that and no complain on clutch issue.

Thanks for the tip. Will check history and see when the last flush was done. Seems like not too long ago to be honest. Fluid looks clear and not dark. Was thinking of flushing also. But now the issue above, wondering if it's the clutch pump itself or something else

bleeding and flusing is referring to the same thing right? ie. replacing the entire brake fluid in the car with fresh fluid.
