Hardwired. Not connected to 12v socket
Strange. If its panel then supposedly every SA will have contact. My SA insist hardwired will void warranty, even if installed by her its going to be connected to 12v socket
Can share the panel workshop? Also which letter was the hardwired part mention?

Hello Mazda 3 gang 🙌🏻
Very nice. Personally I prefer M3 for the design and handling but I wanted more practicality so went for CX30 instead. Gonna look like your car mostly, polymetal grey + black trims including rims

Hi guys, sometimes my Mazda 3 (2016) suddenly activated the Auto Collision Brake / Auto Emergency Brake even there is nothing in front of my car. Does anyone know how to disable or turn off the Auto Emergency Brake function?

for those who are curious - the latest firmware now allows 3rd party maps' directions (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps) to appear on the HUD. it no longer confines itself to only using Mazda's own maps (through their SD card).
One thing still missing though and that is the speed recognition feature.
Mazda's TSR (traffic sign recognition) for some reason only relies on the SD card map data instead of using the camera.
I have it activated on my CX30 with the SD card, but sometimes it's showing a different speed from what's shown on the real sign

Still hard to find the spare part though. 🥲
I saw one in Amazon JP but no picture. Not sure if it’s legitimate
Honestly I don't think it's worth it just for the extra 1"+ of screen. The pre update size of 8.8" is still very usable. Also I read somewhere the resolution is actually still the same... so you get more ppi with the older screen
On the other hand, the AA / AC support for HUD is something I will gladly pay for

1.45" is actually plenty lot, i couldn't help but noticed now how small the 8.8" is when i drive my sister's CX-30 but you are right, the 8.8" is still very useable. i think the display got upgraded as well, the colors appears to be deeper (better contrast ratio) and slightly "crispier".
to put things into perspective, the screen size between an iPhone 16 Pro and an iPhone 16 Pro Max is only 0.6".
Yeah but to get the new screen seperately, the part itself costs more than 1k iinm... to me not a very tempting upgrade unless I have spare cash lying around

if you have the 10.25" infotainment display then you should have it - this shouldn't be an "ignite-only" feature. hmm.. then it works differently than those i found in the Peugeot, outdated map i guess.
Just found today from another CX30 owner that it's possible to hack the TSR to work using the camera instead of only the map data.... but you have to go to Thailand for it
They can also unlock the TPMS, as well as this feature call iDM (Intelligent Drive Master) which displays an indicator on your dashboard depending on how you drive the car and provide a score (something like an eco indicator on Honda or Toyota i think). This feature was only available on the JDM models apparently. Gimmicky but cool to have I guess

I think there is at FB CX5 fb group, got seller individual as well as shop/company put ads for these service. Sorry no idea on how much for the total cost, but sure can make all those Autonomous function via a Plug and Play parts installation
CX5 using different system than latest M3 and CX30
Yes you can find some mods for the older system here, but so far none for M3 and CX30

Is there a good phone holder for Mazda 3? That can mount on dashboard instead of windscreen
I just use one of those air vent type and mount it to the left driver vent, can provide some cooling to the phone while fast charging via cable as well
But if you want dashboard type and dont mind magnetic, can try look for Baseus C02. I saw some owners using and its quite neat looking
u mentioned about rough road, it cause by the stock tyre is it?
Not sure about M3.... but in my CX30 the suspension is tuned towards firmer side. Not to say its uncomfortable but you will feel almost every road imperfections

for the paint chips, any suggestions ? ppf whole car?
I only PPF the frontal portion and door cups of my car. The rest do coating will be sufficient. So far I haven't spotted any significant chips or I didn't look hard enough
But anyway dont fret too much over little things like this.... the first or 2nd year of ownership maybe yes you will feel it until the honeymoon period is over

i noticed that the CX-30 is less prone to paint/rock chips, probably of its higher bonnet height. didn't see a single chip throughout my entire 6 months ownership but 1 month into my Mazda3, already kena the FWS and also one tiny one on the front bonnet.
Still lots of complaints about thin paint from CX30 owners... but most of them are from other reasons like bump from other car doors, which I guess M3 also suffers the same looking at above
