After using for half a year, suddenly on off the dashcam tells me memory card failure. This is after I have changed the very first card. I don't think it is my memory card problem.

At the same time, I can no longer login with default password 12345678. I have not change this but both problems giving me headache.
*
What micro SD are you using?

Are you able to read and write into the micro SD using a computer?

Are you able to reset the 70mai back to factory default?

*
No parking mode

QUOTE(lowya @ Jul 7 2018, 11:47 AM)
Can it record when no charging? does it quickly release?

Feasible to re-purpose for bodycam, cctv or vlogging?
*
A few minutes with the same battery. Better get an action cam as this a dashcam.

QUOTE(petlu28 @ Jul 7 2018, 02:29 PM)
Planning to get 1 unit 😀😀
Which micro SD card better?
Can we use other 2 in 1 car charger since original come with 1 USB charger port only.
*
Samsung Evo Plus.

Yes can. I'm using Aukey 4 ports USB charger.

QUOTE(bryan_x00 @ Jul 7 2018, 07:06 PM)

I saw comment if use for dash cam will void warranty. Is it true?
*
All cards will void the warranty when used in dashcam or IP cams.

Only those which advertise for dashcams and IP cams like High Endurance series are not cheap.

All cards will void the warranty when used in dashcam or IP cams. how's that ??
*
Cause using in dashcam and IP cams will write continuously (record) into the card non-stop. This causes the microSD to die prematurely. Smaller capacity cards will die faster as have to overwrite more than bigger capacity cards.

let's say if i connect from cigarette to powerbank, then powerbank to dashcam, how ya? it will continue record till battery flat?
*
Yes it will continue to record until your powerbank is fully depleted.

But do take note that powerbank in cars might explode due to heat if you decide to use it in our hot weather.

No tint = extreme heat test laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I guess the battery will get spoilt faster. Exploding maybe lesser chance.

Just got my 1st dashcam and it's the 70mai. I'm surprised with its build quality. Really good for its price and it even comes with a car charger which has good built and look too.

But it seems that my Huawei P20 can't play the audio from the video, it says error playing audio. Anyone with similar issue? And from the phone app, does the cam record only for 1 minute. It seems the video folder in the app, all videos are 1 min duration only and are cut throughout the driving?
*
It's missing the codecs. Install VLC Player on your P20.

It's 1-minute files to prevent file corruption in case of failure.

They locked the files to 1 minute. Others have option for 1, 3 or 5 minutes files.

QUOTE(ryder_78 @ Oct 17 2018, 06:25 PM)
Can the Chinese version be converted to the English version? Actually the Chinese and English version are the same isn't it? The difference is only in the language. On the smartphone in the Settings, we can set the phone to display English, Chinese, Malay or other languages. So between the Chinese and English version of this dash cam, the Chinese version is displaying Chinese language only with no settings to change the language to English, and the English version is displaying in English language.

Is my understanding correct?

If yes, then those who can read Chinese will be at an advantage whereby he/she can use the Chinese version without converting it to English (if that is possible, which is the question I am asking here). The reason is the Chinese version is considerably cheaper than the English version when I checked the prices on Lazada.

The Chinese version is selling at RM125 here
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/2018-new....68751b5a7IEkxN

The English version is selling at a higher price of RM169 here
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/i4204706...lFlag=true&mp=1

THough there is a 16GB microSD card that is included with the English version, so minus the cost of the microSD card, the English version is about RM150 which is still costlier than the Chinese version (RM125)

Any thoughts if the English version is the must-buy for those who cannot read Chinese? Unless the Chinese version cannot be converted to English.
*
International version is always more expensive.

I think maybe can convert to English if can get hold of the international firmware and flash into the Chinese 70Mai Pro.
