i concur. apart from the loads of china apps that i dont use (and cant read chinese anyway) china 9.2.3.0 rom is actually pretty zippy and has better battery life, i'd say.

now on global rom, i turn on the battery saver fulltime. last me roughly 40 hours from 100% to 5%. otherwise i gotta charge it every night

what makes you think that they are no spyware even if using global rom?
it could even be hardware coded, regardless of what kind of rom you use.

I'd prefer if whatsapp medias all save in sd card. Too many stuff those ppl share share share. Few groups can share the same shit again and again

with fake rom, chances are you would mostly fail the unlocking.
the only known successful way is to testpoint flash a china rom and then only unlock.
but judging from Benefon's response apparently china rom 9.2.4.0 is pretty smooth too, so i gues no flash global rom oso no issue

the problem is not whether it is imported or local. the issue is the ROM that it came with. if fake rom, die2 must testpoint. if it came with official china rom, (like mine) then no issue with applying unlock BL.

so take their word with a pinch of salt.

if you are buying online, the only way to know is to take risk. buy see what's the rom installed, if it's "global" 9.2.0.2 confirm fake. if "global" 9.2.3.0 on a 4/64 oso same. however local units 3/32 runs on 9.2.3.0 is fine and they can OTA update to 9.2.6.0.

for china rom, they're mostly shipped with 9.2.1.0 for pre-january stocks, and from feb onwards they're 9.2.3.0. only last week 9.2.4.0 was released.

so if u gonna drop by directD outlet to buy, even better, can check on the spot then if it is fake rom, can ask them immediately flash official china rom
