Hi there. Don't you think also depends on the amount of loan you taking and years of repayment as well. For instance, if you able to put in RM100k downpayment, then loan RM140k for 6 years, I think can still manage at RM2,2k per month instalment @2.3% interest.

But in other hand.. quite pricey lor to maintain... sad.gif
*
Of course that would be the case if you increase the downpayment.

To be honest, I didn't know the cost of an A200, I simply took the previous poster's number that the car instalment would be more than RM2000 and went with that.

Based on that, RM2000/RM5500 is already more than 33%

Better do it before next month coz likelihood of revising the term of loan from 9 years to 7 years. smile.gif

For me, I am going for balloon financing so i can start low instalment in the beginning and then increasing over the years.. I think this is a better plan for me. Nowadays loan very difficult from bank, I even need my wife to be guarantor sad.gif

Isnt that like a fake memo? BNM said that there was no plan to revise the maximum tenure, unless I was deeply mistaken

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has denied it had directed banks to reduce the repayment period for car loans to a maximum period of seven years while increasing the downpayment value to 20 per cent from 10 per cent.

A spokesperson said the public should not listen to such unverified rumours. "We have not given any directive to any banks. The current financing terms and conditions of a maximum financing period of not more than nine years under the Responsible Lending Guidelines remains unchanged."

Social media and blogs were rife with statements stating that banks had been issued a memo to cut the financing period and downpayment for new cars, effective September.

Well I was right then. Kinda surprised that people are still talking about the 7 year thing, if anything, the auto industry would go amok about it.

That was just a tag. Now on W203, don't ask whyyyyyyy.

edit: hey you are a girl too now.

7 years loan is good. except for 20% DP.. 10% should be ok, but must be less than 7 years loan

I personally went and test out the A250. I must say, a very fast car and very exciting one to drive tongue.gif

But as @MengHoi mention, Auto start stop function is horrible..causes too much vibration during start stop which can get really annoying..so turning off eco mode wud be ideal

brake hold wise, on my w212, normally can only activate it when on a hill and u gotta push the brake WAY down before it engage..that "it's gonna break soon" feel is there when u do it

other than that, it's really a nice car to drive around.. not to forget sexiness..you get attention wherever u go wink.gif
*
Pretty much my opinion as well. Have you broke the brake before? Hahaha. Just asking.

The Eco starts stop is a nuisance. I have developed the habit of switching it off every time I start my car. It's design to on by default .

I am not the only one. The ECO mode is complete crap especially for our weather condition. Secondly, the jerk. When I tested the A200, I immediately switch it off the moment before I drive it.

The A class interior definitely better than the 'everything square' Golf. tongue.gif I didn't know that the 3 door GTi is so bare basic shocking.gif

mind sharing what are they key difference?

I've been exploring those 2 but seems like the A250 has higher displacement, more fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The standard equipment seem to be same.

The jerk is awful with or without the ECO mode. IMO.
I wonder whether the double clutches will be a problem after a year or two or not.

well so far on my experience with mercedes benz i may say not even a single case of the hold function failure for the brake occurs on current GEN model.
the first model which integrated this function however, which is W211 have some sort of malfunction on this, it will come up a message "hold function not available, please refer owner manual" and when this happen there is a higher chance that your ESM( floor shift mechanism) have to be replace.
