Thanks for the feedback sir.

I got clarification from Mercedes that the GLC is "partial brake application" ie up to 60% , while E class is "Full brake application" upto 100%.

The beep helps, but sometimes people panic I suppose...

Also beeping is very common these days... even my lorry also have lights when you are in "caution zone" and beeps like crazy when $hit is about to hit the fan...  tongue.gif

Actually, if human continue to drive cars (and not robots), better not to have 100%, it happened to me at NS highway, after a turn near Proton City, there was a sudden slow traffic. I stepped on brake and noted the car behind me was still speeding. I quickly swung to left as the car still had momentum. At the end, 5 cars piled up and I was excluded from the sandwich. Machines, at this moment, can't predict how crazy other drivers are.

I got caught in a 4 car pile up vbefore... was 3rd car.. the last car behind me was a Taxi.

Everyone claimed the taxi.. and we didnt lose our NCD.

Anyway, my thoughts when it comes to accidents, as long as the occupants are not hurt thats fine, car can fix/got insurance...

Same reason i was so tempted with the upcoming XC60 launching mid Jan blush.gif

Just like the 'park assist function '! I would have fallen asleep after the car has finished parking itself! Lady driver would welcome this function ! No offence to lady driver though! laugh.gif of all the latest car features, I am only keen on the adaptive cruise control ! The 360 camera is also a Beri good feature!

Oh, that park assist is misleading. Actually, I had to respray my bonnet, one week after the collection, due to it. I was stopping at a slope. Off my engine. Unfortunately, I got a whatsapp msg and I read it. I should have opened the door to activate the auto parking for the gearbox and handbrake. But, I didn't. I watched the instrument display and saw a light blue color symbol of "P". I thought the car gearbox is at Park position because I forgot this was my new car. For my previous F30, a "P" near that location means gearbox is at Park position. I let go the brake and the car rolled so fast to a wall pillar. I had a "V" shape for my bonnet! ranting.gif

I thought once you engage the P gear, the handbrake is auto engage?

I think this does not apply to GLC250, you have to open the driver door to automatically engage the gearbox park and handbrake together. If you park at slope, engage the gearbox Park without the handbrake, the car still rolls a short distance (about half of perimeter for the wheel as I was told by the SA).

For my case, I believe I set the gearbox to Neutral but I thought it was at Park position (due to the light blue symbol for Park Assist). That was the reason the car rolled for about 20 to 30 meters. You can see this image, there are two P symbol, one is next to Neutral position for the gear and another is a light blue color P at the bottom (next to the temperature). Really have to adjust myself to understand the difference between two P.

Go rupee old klang road autocity. They are pro at recond mercedes e class and bmw 5 series. Priced competitively. With great service outlets and unbelievably cheap for the maintenance part. So far i didnt regret buying from this dealer.

Hello. Can anyone recommend a good 3rd party mechanic to repair and service Mercs? Hopefully reasonable prices as well.

go autoraco and mekatronic at cheras. They know every issue with mercedes and recommend the suitable parts which will prevent u from forking to much on maintenance.

Can u review the car icon_question.gif . Planning to buy but the lack of latest safety features and night package which blackens the chrome trims around the car turns me off.

I dunno how to review this car , other then how bloody wonderfull it is! i mean i cant compare it to my other previous car because never own car this "class" before. btw yea the night package is not for everyone but i kinda like it. it still have some chrome bits all round tho. No lane alert and adaptive cruiser yea but i dont think i needed those much plus the sensors take care of other close by vehicle which is much more important and usefull. 1 thing for sure , the air suspension make it the most comfy ride in its class even how comfy g30 is which was my 1st choice

Yeah i adore g30 as well because of how it ticks all the boxes but the current spec is not the best buy yet. Whereas the e got some issues in which i cannot brain like a lesser interior space than previous gen and a narrow footwell on the driver makes me feel like driving with a tied legs. G30's ride is unbelievable comfortable that its kinda hard for me to justify the future maintenance of the air suspension on the e350e. i hope yours will hv no problem because i heard the current S haven't got any problem like in previous gens.

Well the g30 indeed quite a looker even tho some might say it doesnt seem diffrent from f10. I never consider eclass because well let face it, very uncle looking ride. Until i found out the e350e spec that come with amg bodykits. It simply look quite the opposite of uncle looking ride. N the night package actually make it quite sportier. Ive test driven g30 i think its a great car but in term of interrior, comfy n even performance, its e350e.

If u can wait , g30 530e should come soon. Thats spec should be comparable to e350e not 530i

Btw about the narrow footwell stuff. I have a size 12 feet n its not a problem at all. I tend to forget about it now even how bad it seem stated by Bobby Ang in his vid
