Hi, anyone bought a pre-owned car from HSS?

I got a quote from them, besides the car price, they added RM500 for registration, another year of road tax, RM265 for handling (tow truck, petrol, admin, etc). Is it normal?

Thanks in advance

Would like to check with the Merc Sifus here on their knowledge of the GLC200/250

Notice this models have Autonomous PARTIAL braking.... compared to say the E200 (W213) which have Autonomous Braking...

Does the PARTIAL means it will only reduce the speed but wont stop the car totally? Means u still bang but, hopefully, bang softer?  dry.gif

As usual Mercedes malaysia/HapSeng/Cycle&Carriage website are vague at best..

When I took my GLC250, the SA from HSS told me the partial is 30% when the speed is above 60km/h. So far, I never have the opportunity to experience this autonomous partial brake. Most of the time the Collision Prevent Assist triggers the alarm and I naturally step on the brake.

Same experience here! A loud beep and I instinctly step on the brake,Liao!

Ha ha, l am not alone to think that feature is redundant... rclxms.gif Ya, the beep is so loud that the first action should be stepping on the brake! But, that alarm beep seems to happen above certain speed and the distance to hit, that is how I feel. Not sure if it is indeed designed in that way. If the speed and distance are out of the ranges it functions, merely the red triangle symbol appears on the instrument display.

Thanks for the feedback sir.

I got clarification from Mercedes that the GLC is "partial brake application" ie up to 60% , while E class is "Full brake application" upto 100%.

The beep helps, but sometimes people panic I suppose...

Also beeping is very common these days... even my lorry also have lights when you are in "caution zone" and beeps like crazy when $hit is about to hit the fan...  tongue.gif

Actually, if human continue to drive cars (and not robots), better not to have 100%, it happened to me at NS highway, after a turn near Proton City, there was a sudden slow traffic. I stepped on brake and noted the car behind me was still speeding. I quickly swung to left as the car still had momentum. At the end, 5 cars piled up and I was excluded from the sandwich. Machines, at this moment, can't predict how crazy other drivers are.

Just like the 'park assist function '! I would have  fallen asleep after the car has finished parking itself! Lady driver would welcome this function ! No offence to lady driver though! laugh.gif  of all the latest car features, I am only keen on the adaptive cruise control ! The 360 camera is also a Beri  good feature!

Oh, that park assist is misleading. Actually, I had to respray my bonnet, one week after the collection, due to it. I was stopping at a slope. Off my engine. Unfortunately, I got a whatsapp msg and I read it. I should have opened the door to activate the auto parking for the gearbox and handbrake. But, I didn't. I watched the instrument display and saw a light blue color symbol of "P". I thought the car gearbox is at Park position because I forgot this was my new car. For my previous F30, a "P" near that location means gearbox is at Park position. I let go the brake and the car rolled so fast to a wall pillar. I had a "V" shape for my bonnet! ranting.gif

I thought once you engage the P gear, the handbrake is auto engage?
*
I think this does not apply to GLC250, you have to open the driver door to automatically engage the gearbox park and handbrake together. If you park at slope, engage the gearbox Park without the handbrake, the car still rolls a short distance (about half of perimeter for the wheel as I was told by the SA).

For my case, I believe I set the gearbox to Neutral but I thought it was at Park position (due to the light blue symbol for Park Assist). That was the reason the car rolled for about 20 to 30 meters. You can see this image, there are two P symbol, one is next to Neutral position for the gear and another is a light blue color P at the bottom (next to the temperature). Really have to adjust myself to understand the difference between two P.
