i love oblivion with guns. guess that's what i am gonna see in fallout3.
quite tempted with the demo...hell, it's about time for FPS view.

Well for a fallout fan u do that we wouldn't like to have a different perspective on the fallout world cause its is already so flawlessly perfect for F1 and F2. To really pull it off using FPS require a really brilliant mastermind.

Actually, I kind of dreaded the fights in big cities (e.g. New Reno) because it'd take eons before I get to move again. But I loved every single part of it. FPS changed everything. Just put it this way - turn Final Fantasy Tactics or Ogre Tactics into a real-time 3D squad-based game and call it FF Tactics 2 or something. See if the fans are ecstatic about it.

I kinda like fights in New Reno since I get to see hookers and drug addicts kill each other (provoke someone into spraying an automatic weapon into a crowd). When I get bored, I'll just vaporize/shred/burn/stab everyone to death. Maximum violence at its best smile.gif. As for the FPS perspective, I hope someone from the modding community will whip up an isometric mod. Plus I think the Lady Killer/Black Widow perk is silly since the original Fallout's gameplay was never about gender preferences. They should exclude that from the final product.

Anyone seen a Turbo Plasma Rifle in the game?? I want to turn people into red goo...

well for gender stuff. if they can make a lil different from it (like fallout 2, minimally though) well it should be great as replay value playing as males slightly differ than playing with female character.

The perk offers increased damage against the opposite sex (why not just increase the player character's offensive skills). Black Widow/Lady Killer also offers extra dialogue options when interacting with members of the opposite sex (why not just increase CHARISMA and the speechcraft skill to receive extra dialogue options). It's totally pointless since there are skills that confer these benefits. I wouldn't be complaining if Bethesda had included a perk which allows me to show obscene gestures to members of the opposite sex, now that would be much more refreshing and unique.

Ugh. Don't even mention the hookers and addicts. They dont kill each other - they run away, and HELL they have crazy AP for that!!!! Freaking Jet addicts sure run like a roadrunner on beep beep juice when facing the barrel of a gun!

Poor facial animation coupled with wooden AI movements. It seemed Bethesda wasn't able to rectify that problem. Damn

Game looks gorgeous though. Play F3 for its graphics I guess...

people backflip from a shot from small gun .. it's unavoidable as they're still using their *PROUD* oblivion game engine yawn.gif

and if people were looking for graphic, FO3 would seems like crap compared side-by-side with FarCry 2 (released next month also)

They're two different type of games... F3 is a FP-RPG, whereas FC2 is pure FPS... personally, I like what Bethesda has done; isometric just won't hold people's attention for too long. I hope it doesn't become too much like neverwinternights 2 or mass effect 2 though... kinda repetitive after awhile...

I just watched the HD version of the gameplay videos... beautiful! the people could really use more work though. THey still look like they're made of plasticine...

aww come on .. so, now we have new game genre, FPRPG to back-up beth failure. i merely commenting Enclave Recruit post on how people will appreciate FO3 just because of its graphic.

I'll probably play F3 just to experience the "unique" post-apocalyptic feel in full FPS glory but that's about it. I shall look elsewhere for TRUE roleplaying goodness...

I really don't understand Bethesda. They had ample time to rectify and fine tune the issues (animation and facial expression) which were plaguing Oblivion and yet these problems persist and are inherited by F3. Must they leave everything to the modding community to fix.

In regards to the graphical differences between F3 and FC2, I think Far Cry 2 is a wayyy much more demanding game than F3 so in all fairness, F3's Gamebryo engine looks great for its system requirements. Far Cry 2 should probably be compared to Crysis instead.

hey, its the hype that sold Oblivion, not the game .. it's going to be the same with FO3. low-res texture? ragdoll animation? stupid conversation? no worry, they are thousand of people ready to mod/correct it

It's the Gamebryo engine...there is nothing to fear!!! smile.gif

I would be concerned if F3 is powered by CryEngine2. Let's just crank up the visual details and let it rip...

Every gamers have a similar prefrence / interest on "post-apocalyptic" ambience in games :
Stalker : Although it was riddled with bugs & outdated graphics but the atmosphere is "the core factor" that it was well received among gamers worlwide (especially eastern europe)

Call of Duty 4 : Surprised isn't it. surveys on several websites which enquire about gamer's favourite chapter & guess what they all vote
for the "Chernobyl chapter" where the protagonist wanders around an abandoned city with radiation all around the place.

Maybe both games are inspired from Fallout series (who knows ??).
Lets see whether F03 can eclipse or even beats the 2 above.

well, inspiration came from Wasteland, old game, supposedly predecessor of Fallout series. and since you remind me of STALKER, remember when is it the first demo for STALKER being released? 2004.yup, at time when Beth starts sketching FO3 .. copy-

no, it's scheduled for middle/end of october ..

they have changed FO3 drug name Morphine to Med-X due to pressure from censorship board .. oh, come on, how lame was that. Rad-X, Med-X. either Beth are too lazy or too not creative

i despise todd, pete and emile .. and console game

I'm sure Fallout 3 will beat both games... if their target audiences are farmers who have a fetish for scarecrow-like stiff animations.
