I've been using note edge phone for 3 years. The touted flagship model of the first edge of 3 years ago.
Frankly.... The first year using is pristine After the first year warranty over, problems started to crop up slowly.
Trust me I have seen many updates delivered OTA over the years.. But the problems don't seemed to go away or rectified. Freezing... Lagging... Restarting.... Heat. Signal loss.
This year alone I think there were about 3 to 4 software updates but none rectified the security finger print unlock screen causing phone to restart. And finger print failed thus we need to punch in the password to unlock phone.
At last the Mobo gone king Kong. I even changed a new Mobo at the Samsung service centre.
Currently just after 1 week having installed the new Mobo. The problem still the same. Restart by its own. Loss of signal totally without warning and knowing. Only when you feel the phone heats up you will know it's signal loss causing it.
I suspect the software was badly written to overcome bugs and other software impurities. I'm really frustrated with it. It's a new Mobo. I don't think it's a faulty Mobo. Most likely the culprit is the software.
The updates did not make rescue the phone or rectify faults at all. I wonder the updates do what actually.
I'm very disappointed actually. Bought the phone at RM 3000 , 3 years ago. Spent RM 1100 on the new Mobo. But the problem persists.
I pre-booked the note FE but on the 25 the last month I turned down to buy. Thus losing my deposit.
I love using s pen. And in my note edge even have an IR blaster . the IR blaster is very useful. Sad that all current Samsung models are without it. One other reason I turned down the FE . And the note 8 is because of this. I hope to see one day Samsung brings back the IR

Anyone can share how to register ewarranty at mysamsung? I read in this thread before and I lazy to find the information .
and how to check whether the registration of warranty is completed.
btw, to add on to this, has anyone here who bought from Qoo10 registered their warranty? I have read previously here that seller would have to register it, is it correct?
lastly, which receipt did you upload, is it the screenshot from Qoo10? I didn't get any receipt when i got the phones.
Great stuff to eanable using dual sim functions together with micro SD card with the hybrid tray. This enchancement come out during the time of the S7 Edge but I was reluctant to try it due to the uglyness of the ribbons sticking out. Might consider purchasing one to try it out with my Note 8.

Well, firstly, I think the old Samsung TouchWiz UI before the S6/S6 Edge was full of bloatware and had tendency to lag over time no matter how much RAM you put in the phones. That was why I stopped using Samsung after Note 3. Then I tried the S6 for a while and the Note 5 thereafter, and it was much better and less frustrating. The newer ones especially on the S8/S8+ and even the Note 8 are even smoother. That said, I fully understand your frustration with the Mobo, as I had experienced the same with both my Tab S2 and Note 5, which luckily were both under warranty when it happened. When I was at the Samsung Service Center getting my devices sorted out, I noticed a number of owners there trying to get their Mobo issues sorted out as well, so it could be a design flaw. Anyways, since you cancelled your booking for the FE, what device have you decided to go with next?

my friend bought note8 fr A, A is blacklisted now cause didint pay bill and maxis lock the phone. totally cannot use now. call maxis and they ask my friend call A. A didint reply too. Maxis say only can open back when bill settle. case still going. hard to settle.
Just careful when buy 2nd hand contract phone.

Just careful when buy contract phone.
Heard of a solution to your friends problem before. Just swap his sim card to the second sim card slot. He should be able to use his phone functions like normal. Maxis has blocked his IMEI which is sim card slot 1. Hope this helps. Good luck.

That is weird, because I have read similar cases as your friends, which was overcomed by using slot 2. Let me try and find the link regarding the issue.
