QUOTE(EroS @ Feb 2 2024, 08:23 AM) Lando just signed a long term contract recently. So he won't be jumping ship. Mick and George? Hehe... I wonder.Seb?? Hopefully but highly unlikely I reckon. Mercs COULD put Mick in for 1 year then replace him with their junior driver Kimi Antonelli. Or-or, mercs could sign albon, piastri?? or maybe Danny ric??😝😝 At worse, they could swap Albon over and let Mick prove himself with Williams. After all, you know who's in charge in Williams. |

QUOTE(EroS @ Feb 2 2024, 12:27 PM) I don't think James wants Mick though. Toto wanted James to drop logan & give Mick a chance but was ignored. Sainz? I thought Sainz is already confirmed for Alfa (Audi 2026). Maybe bye2 Zhou or Bottas. Bottas could be willing to go to Williams. If Albon does go to mercs, Williams best replacement would be signing Sainz for his experiences. |

QUOTE(EroS @ Feb 2 2024, 12:48 PM) Would Toto do it? Hmmm... I wonder...Signing for 2025 would also mean for 2026... impossible to sign just for a year with new reg coming up soon. Too many secrets in F1. I think teams would be hoping for at least an experience and fast drivers to at least take advantage in 2026 if their car is indeed faster than other before the development race caught up with them. I think if Mercedes cant get Lando, they might go for Albon. I think Lando would be desperate to get into Mercedes with the current drivers market. Otherwise he would need to wait until 2027/2028. RB most definitely wont sign another to challenge MV. |

QUOTE(jusbella @ Feb 2 2024, 03:34 PM) Sepang race is boring when it's dry... it only get interesting after they moved it to 2-3pm and wait for the downpour. Back then they can still drive around... with cars so close to the ground nowadays, it's pretty hard to have a race when it's wet. Hence I dont support this idea. Also tyres are much more durable nowadays and doesn't drop off as much. jusbella liked this post

QUOTE(EroS @ Feb 20 2024, 11:52 AM) When redbull win races with their zeropod concept, it'll be a slap to mercs face since mercs failed badly last season. GR63 won Brazil 2022... have you forgotten?2024 race schedules kinda weird. Japan & China race are early. After Asia races, straight fly to US, after that to Europe then back to Canada. |

QUOTE(EroS @ Feb 20 2024, 12:15 PM) I still dont think RBR will go that route. One, because how their whole package works. It will be a smaller pod for sure but zero pod definitely wont be the way to go for RBR since they will lose their DRS advantage with a new concept. |

The only question is whether Mercedes is sand bagging to hide the gains from cheeky front wing or really struggling.

QUOTE(voscar @ Feb 24 2024, 09:44 AM) Alonso: Congrats Max winning the 2024 championship. Honestly this guy is just so over these days. In comparison, I prefer the Apelonso from 2007. Much more feisty on track. Now he pretty much drove a boring race, keeping a safe gap. This is also why I don't see him getting a seat in Mercedes.https://www.crash.net/f1/news/1044659/1/fer...n-f1-2024-title |

Wow... interesting top 3 Max P1 Lec P2 GR P3 LH44 will have himself to blame for using an extra set in Q1. Lets see if MV will pull away with superior tyre degradation. Lets see if Mercedes and Ferrari will be able to match RB tyre degradation. This post has been edited by andrekua2: Mar 2 2024, 01:06 AM jusbella liked this post

Refuelling is the biggest variable that the sport took away when they banned it. Although it might not change the result as much as we hoped, but given everyone literally on the same weight nowadays, it is no surprise that they can barely overtake even with DRS. As for the engine, you see what happens when you pushed it. Ferrari blew their engine multiple times for the past 2 years. Before this, you can still say those who cant build engine rely on aero... now you failed your aero and you are unable to develop your engine, how are you going to make up? Too much ongoing in F1... too hard to reverse the damage... I think it will die a slow painful death. Once Alonso and Lewis retires, it will be on Max and if he retires early, then I guess F1 will be going downhill even faster. RalphRatedR liked this post
