actually i found today's race those car unable to tailgate closely. gone are the days when those cars queuing right on the tail within 0.3s like train and stick on the corners if one car slow in front. nowdays the tailgating gap about 1s unless your car is really fast to make overtaking.

also the top speed at the tunnel lesser than 300kph? i remember those days 305-315kph seems to be norm...

Mercedes are well-known of reliability issue, remember Hamilton 2016? that time all conspiratorial talk that prevent him to get the championship. it's a fact mercedes lacking reliability except Hamiton's fortune year 2017.

this year Ferrari power already surpassed Mercedes is also a fact. Last year Bottas still have a few wins, this year no chance unless leader messed up. So Mercedes will up their PU power but risk of failure like there's one race Hamilton running 1st engine for its last service... overheat, power intermittent lost etc..

ferrari famous of great reliability except last year. Schumacher era Ferrari seldom got problem that gave him so many wins... while Hakkinen and Raikkonen Mercedes-powered Mclaren kept failing.

It is unfortunate for Vettel DNF as he dominated most part of the race. But I guess this is good to spice up the championship race as Ferrari has the best race car at the moment and can play catching up game. Someone mentioned Ferrari PU has 35kW more than the field, so it's OK, haha.

no lah, with the 35kW advantage Ferrari having, Vettel should've already lead the championship by huge margin without unforced errors twice (if i remember correctly) this season. These 2 occasion his car was so dominating but he messed up under safety car or slight wet condition. This year's Ferrari performance was like Mercedes's 2014 on straight line speed.
