Kimi got most of his fastest laps when he was in McLaren and during his first Ferrari period, basically when he was still on top of his game. Anyway fastest laps doesn't mean much, just look at Senna whom I and many still considered as the fastest and best ever racer only managed 19 fastest laps, less than even Gerhard Berger and Nico Rosberg! It's the pole position that counts more as the showcase of pure speed/talent.

I'm all about stats today lol. In Kimi's 4 years at McLaren, he had 31 retirements, In his 8 (combined) years at Ferrari, he only had 24 retirements. I believe without as many retirements, he would've been a multiple world champion at McLaren. You can't compare Senna anyway, different era, different rules, different mindset. In those days most of the fast cars blow up. The theme then was to "win in the slowest possible time". Senna undoubtedly is one of the greatest.

Better race this time thanks to the Torro Rosso incident. Ferrari bad luck shifted to vettel this time. Verstappen still haven't learned to calm down enough. When hamilton is not into it,he really is not into it. Good drive for the top 3. Alonso must be happy to overtake the red car on track for a very long time.

As much as I'd like to see kimi win, I don't mind Haas win with magnussen. That'd be something else hahaha

Sauber ahead of McLaren. Alonso must be kicking himself. Good drive by Leclerc. Driver of the day. Ferarri luck with Kimi this time.

FP3, Max crashed again. Don't know how long RB can put up with him.

Kris Meeke also just dropped by Citroen for "excessively high number of crashes"

It's like watching a movie after you've read the spoilers. You're just watching it to see the action(if any) knowing how the movie will end.

I was wondering about the first lap. I see first corner 5-6 cars go straight and use the run-off area, then 2nd corner also the same. So when they feed in the track it's all jumbled up. So my question is, who should be in front of who and why no one was penalised? I am sure some got track advantage after that.

Until where everyone is officially rumors is just rumors

There are even rumors Alonso returning to Ferrari next year lol but with him burning bridges and vettel the top man in Ferrari I don't think so.

Yup but Kimi returning to McLaren I think is still possible, coz as the races go by, it seems more likely that Leclerc will replace him.

Let's say rumours are true. Kimi goes to McLaren, McLaren changes pay off, and Kimi starts winning with them, Alonso will bang his head on the wall.

Kimi probably needed another 2 laps to overtake Ham, and no doubt team orders to let Ham pass Bottas

I hope Hamilton get penalised for the pitlane issue. Win goes to Bottas, Kimi closer in points to leaders.

LH only got a reprimand for the pitlane incident. I think some sort of penalty should be imposed at least to the team. Team admitted they made a mistake which to me is fine but it does not mean they get a free ticket and get away with it. True no advantage was gained and no one was hurt but it was still a dangerous manoeuvre.

"It’s not ideal, but I think that what is the most important and nicest thing is that the car was driveable and enjoyable in the rain," Raikkonen said after the session.

Only Kimi would say driving in the rain is enjoyable.
