AMR is gonna be the reason Vettel will retire. The car still crap from last season
*
Yeah I am affraid so. AM now is basically like swapping places with Alfa.

Mercs still over 1 sec behind. McLaren looking a bit better. Clearly will be another Ferrari vs RB battle.

CL again did a great job on pole so looks like him vs 2 RB. Ferrari needs to be careful with strategies. SP seems getting good on this car and giving MV a real good fight. CS was on a fast one before FA accident but did poorly at the end, he will be kicking himself. This is gonna be RB chance to catch up big to Ferrari constructor points. RB cars though seems only suffer minimal bouncing while Ferrari bouncing almost as bad as Mercs but just still able to go fast. If Ferrari is able to reduce the bouncing they might be even faster.

On a side note really feel pity for FA, he was challenging the top 4! This old dog still got some serious bite after all.

Finally glad to see Mclaren is competitive again, hopefuly it continues improving.

To me mclaren improve a little but others made them look good, haas and alfa are not good on such track plus alonzo would have gotten 4th if not for the issue

give leclerc a good car he can drive as proven in 2019, smart as well

Alonso lap was way up for pole... Just bad luck
*
Maybe track character suits Mclaren too.
Yup FA lap by 2nd sector was already up over CL pole so at least he could've been 3rd or 2nd, such a pity.

Well CL and Ferrari now far ahead of everyone! RB needs to tidy up their reliability otherwise this season can be over fast. CS was very bad, he will play 2nd fiddle very soon. Ferrari got lucky MV dnf otherwise RB catches up a bit on points.

If Sainz still continue like that, I hope Ferrari will get Hamilton for next year onwards. Recent champs all raced Ferrari before, except Max and Hamilton.
*
Rosberg and JB also never raced for the red.

Poor Alonso today, his pace yesterday gone away from him.  Haiz...
*
Yeah strange weekend from FA, fast in practice and Q then suddenly not doing much in the race. I thought he was going to slice up thru the field up to top 5 or 6. Maybe the car is only good on the softs.

Ya, just my wishful thinking to see how Hamilton versus young gen Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen on competitive car before he retired.

I got feeling Mercedes will not be competitive for a few seasons.
*
LH got GR now to handle. So far GR has been matching up quite well.

All good things come to an end so maybe it's Mercs time to end now. Their dominance has been too long anyway.

Biggest gap since 2016! Is that mean championship fight already game over?
*
The real gap should be to MV at 46pts or at least SP at 41pts. But the season is also the longest one ever so things can still happen.

Besides reliability, RB also has issues with being overweight and higher tire degradation. So seems like many things for them to sort out.

Just wait for Ferrari to implode la as always. Happened so many times during Alonso and Vettel era
*
Ferrari has to really reflect and learn from 2012 when FA was over 40pts ahead of SV at mid season but still lost the title to SV right at the end by just 3 pts.

Really? Only specific track la. If not how did Max beat Charles in Jeddah.

If you can find the ideal setup, then for sure tires will last. Else just wait tires burning.
*
I am just stating what RB reported in the news. They claim their car is actually 10kg overweight and tire wear still too much.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Apr 13 2022, 07:44 PM)
Only remember Ferrari implode... RB berapa kali last season? You would have remembered them implode had it not because uncle masi decided to help oren kita.
*
RB/MV last season got unlucky to be hit in Silverstone and Hungary then tire explode in Baku so not that they implode, otherwise championship over with like 3 races to go. LH was lucky to even had the chance to almost winning the title.

Unlikely if CL can win the title.

He can still somewhat rectify this if he can come to the front on the sprint race, assuming his gearbox not damaged by the impact.
