I just want to ask, I used to be a Celcom customer and billing cycle is every 18th of the month. I do not have any contract with Celcom and did not sign up for devices.
I ported out to Maxis on 1 September and took effect on 3rd September (swapped out the sim card to use Maxis network). When my final Celcom bill arrived last 2 weeks ago, I noticed that they charged full month bill until 18/9 and is already auto-debited from my card.
I called Celcom twice on separate occasions, and both Celcom representatives said that the final bill needs to be paid in full once you port out from Celcom.
Celcom did not mention in the terms and conditions regarding "full month payment on the final bill".
So, do you guys have this issues in the past?

Maxis and DiGi will have your final bill pro-rated. Meaning that they will charge you till the day you ported out your phone number to another telecom. While Celcom will bill you a full month subscription fee regardless of the date you successfully ported out from Celcom.

So unfortunately in your case, while your Celcom service ended on 3rd September 2017 and your billing date is on 18th September 2017, you will still have to pay your Celcom subscription fee in full.

It not a problem lo.
Only you didn't read their T&C... Celcom have that termination fee since day one....

You port out....pay 1 month + outstanding
That is why no matter how attractive is their plan... Always bear this in mind...

Celcom is so strict, last time when I forgot to pay my final bill because I port out to Digi, they send me lawyer letter mentioning that I have outstanding that need to pay.

At least you should call them first before port out. I also kena before. They still insist that port out at any date still have to bear full subscription charge.
Plus Celcom loves the lawyer. After 2 bulan tak bayar bil after MNP hantar surat lawyer. And the worst thing is they said will send final bill once MNP to other telco but the bill never arrive in my email or my mailbox. There is not even a call from them to pay.
They send a love letter from a lawyer claiming I have not paid the bill yet after that two months. Stupid Celcom.

They should learn from Digi.

Digi will send you a final paper bill few months after you ported out to make sure you settle the outstanding amount. That gesture leaves a very good rapport behind and I am back to Digi now.

Celcom should realize that post-port out process is important for telcos, because it will leave a good impression on the ex-customers to come back next time.

DON'T PUNISH CUSTOMERS FOR LEAVING, BUT THANK THEM FOR BEING YOUR CUSTOMERS AND LOOK FORWARD TO SERVE THEM AGAIN

Lesson to be learnt. If want to sign up their service, be prepared to accept their terms. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

I also ported out 2 lines from Celcom last year July
1st line ported out few days before billing date, being charged full month bill
2nd line ported out few days after billing date, also charged full month bill
I’m aware the full month bill charge for porting out, so I didn’t call Celcom for refund on my 2nd line.

Out of my surprise, Celcom mailed me cheque for credit refund for my 2nd line in Dec.

Googled and found this thread. I am another person who is not aware of this Celcom policy xD
Got a call from their debt collector a few times, from a company called Prasarana or something. I thought it was a scam.. I told the guy Celcom didn't even contact me or anything, no bills or letters. the guy answered no letters sent because of MCO, LOL
then asked me to walked in to Celcom bluecube to check laugh.gif

Ported to digi back in April. Didn't even receive the final bill from Celcom in my email, heck didn't even get my 2nd last bill, March. No surprise there since their system and network is buggy as hell.

Turns out that my account on the Celcom portal is still active.. lo and behold I found the final bill there

Also happened to me when i ported out of Maxis to another telco. The staff mentioned that i need to settle an interim bill to port out the number, but I will receive a closing account final bill for the following month.
The collection team only recently started pestering me for the final bill to close the account since their audit have been questioning them about these unsettled final bills.

Eventually i settle the final bill since i don't them to keep spamming me on whatsapp
