Guess the frenzy of sales kicked in after 1 June as expected. Chose Modern Steel Metallic since I wanted a colour change after driving a Black car all this while and White although I love it best on the Civic will be hard to maintain. And I felt there are many Silver cars on the road. Lol.

I wonder if a poll is done here to find out who bought what colours would be interesting

Either way, could make honda malaysia really snobbish and start to slack on their product quality....and after sales service will get more overloaded....

i also got the rattling sound, initially i thought it was from right side dashboard near aircond, finally found out it was from A pillar, so DIY slip a piece of rubber into it, problem solved.

just slip in a small piece of rubber between the A pillar and dashboard will do
dash cam wire can't help

After taking another look on a computer monitor. It doesn't really look as bad as it seemed.

Looks more like a scuff mark to me than a scratch. Very hard to judge properly from a picture.

I bet the SC just took Soft 99 to it like they do for everything else

Hi everyone. I just received my 1.8s 3 days ago. Compared it with my uncle’s. I dont have ultrasonic and tilt sensor button. Anybody else have this issue?

I’ve tried staying inside the car for 10 minutes but the alarm didnt turn on.

But to be frank... the alarm is so soft... that I don't even notice it running when my car is parked in house compound -.- morning wake up only notice it blinking...

Q: does the e-brake automatically goes off if you put it into D/R and press the gas pedal?

If your family is in the car, why can't you leave the keyfob in the car?

Disable the alarm? Or walkaway autolock.

That is just urban myth la. You think engineers did not think of this kind of conditions when they design mechanical parts?

It is not only in Malaysia traffic jam and traffic lights exists you know.

Unless controlled long term tests are done between both methods, it is not something that can be presented in hard facts on which method is more beneficial to the longevity of the car.

Furthermore, most of the time before it even breaks. The car is already sold off.

Engine mounting has nothing much to do with the transmission shifting to N or not.

Engine mounting degrades because it is not made of a solid piece of metal and instead they opted for rubber which hardens and cracks under heat.

It is two unrelated problems that you cannot tie together. If there is any reason for accelerated wear on mountings is the way you drive. Constant wide open throttle on and off action will jolt the engine and cause wearing to the rubber inserts in the mount.

The engine cleaner  is actually OK as a periodic add-in. Maybe once a year and not every service.

In fact, i believe the engine cleaner should be topped up in a fuel tank prior to a petrol fill up and most importantly (this is just my personal belief) prior to a service.

And the engine cleaner if i am not wrong is only RM30 if purchased outside. Just saying.

Mine is always reset to 10,000km immediately. I dunno about the new cars though - seems some of them got their cars with ——- KM (5 dashes, instead of numbers)

Hearing that many features of Civic been removed. Suddenly felt that my 2 yo TCP very valuable now, with all the features

Ultrasonic sensor - detects movement in the car - including flies / mosquito if you have any in the car lol! This sensor is also the main culprit when the alarm sounds during a thunderstorm

Models up to May has all the features (TBC), dunno why the June 2018 onwards doesn’t have this anymore...
