Using ceramic pro Gold package, 6 layers on paint work, 1 layer on leather + plastic with ppf on door handle and headlamp

quite satisfy with the services, anyway all these warranty is depending on after services if there is any problem/question so go for the one with good services

My overall experience with Honda SC and SA is not the top...

my impression is SA don't give a F after deal done, so paying extra for coating but doesn't give a good after service is a no no.

Go survey outside proper coating shop, top a bit for the satisfying experience is worth the price.

What did they actually do for interior coating? That is the one thing i failed to understand.

I see ceramic pro coat also find it quite strange as they spray on instead of wipe on.
*
They coat it with one layer of plastic or leather protection coat, UV protection will be better do the color doesnt faded if you always parkin under the sun.
If interior is fabric then it will have that water beading effect.

They CLAIM spray is more even so the coating layer form better then manually wipe spot by spot.

I changed from a VW Polo 1.2 TSI to a Civic 1.5t.

Polo:
- built quality is still better than Civic, be it exterior or interior
- dsg nicer to drive than cvt
- paint quality a lot better than Civic (my 1 month old Civic has more stone chips than my 7yr old Polo)

Civic:
- more comfy interior
- better nvh
- more reliable
- cheaper to maintain
- more technologically advanced than the Polo
*
I do have to agree that the paint work on civic is way too thin..

guys what u think of Volkswagen compare to Honda?
german vs japan
hehe
*
On practical side, think you worry less about RV later.

I got friends suffer much from Volkswagen value depreciation.

Lets just say it might not be important on a 1st thought but if it hits you, it really hurts...

Unless of course, you plenty of money or have different priority in life.

whats the recommended brand for this interior leather coating spray ? Which is the company ? Can we buy the spray and spray ourselves?
*
I send my car to ceramic pro coating.

I think most DIY enthusiast use Meguiar leather maintenance product but take note not the same as "ceramic" coating.

Hello all,
Maintanence Minder left 800km. was going to book a service slot but the earliest I can find in reputable service centre in klang valley is half a month from now.
Has anyone faced this issue before letting the minder to run until minus couple of hundred km?
I might face such issue and worry that it will damage the engine.
*
Engine oil confirm can last longer than minder "estimation" before causing any issue.

Just not sure if some SC giving some warranty issue crap.

Hi...is coating for civic really worth it? Coz it cost at least 2k or above n I think really not worth for it
*
If you wash your own car and want to maintain the paint work as much as possible then yes.

If you just send to car wash and don't really mind then no coz the money spent is enough for alot of round of car wash

TC/TCP has the oil / oil filter interval service for A and B in addition to the periodic service. So the periodic service doesn't change the oil / oil filter anymore. Is my understanding correct?

Anyone did a calculation or rough estimation of how much (in terms of %) does the maintenance of the TC/TCP higher than the 1.8?
*
for me KL traffic, every 7k I would say

I heard if you sit idling in traffic or stops also will degrade the oil life pretty fast. Not just mileage alone.
*
yes, idling or start-stop traffic hit the oil/the count down harder than driving hard.

I drive everyday LDP - the minder estimating 6k to oil change but recent I drive to ulu yam then genting end up minder now show estimation 7k.

I did asked the SC on this question and i think this varies from service advisors or even between SC's.

There are stipulated intervals where items are changed on the basis of mileage or period whichever comes first. But, at this stipulated service intervals, the service A and B is also checked and if the remaining life is already low and not far away from the stipulated service intervals. What they will usually do is to advise customers to perform the service all together when they go in for the usual service intervals to prevent having to visit the service center twice within a short period.

Of course, customer is given a choice in the decision making ultimately.

The question here is how is the labour charges applied if you go for two separate services in a short period of time? Do i pay less if i do both together as both service is lumped into the same time or do i have to pay an extra hour or so by doing it separately? That i did not manage to get an aswer as they told me either way results in almost the same costs.
*
SC charge labor on per work item/task:
eg:
- Oil change
- Air cond
- tire rotation
- other preventive maintenance

all have their own hour charge

do Honda require you to change oil or filter during the periodic service?

or the oil/filter only change during the A/B
*
oil/filter only change during the A/B

A - oil (but they also recommend filter in)
B - oil & filter

As i mentioned, it is all for the sake of keeping the warranties alive at the end of the day.

Although some lubrication cannot be left exposed to atmosphere for too long or it will go through chemical changes and become a danger to engine components. It is primarily down to the fact of keeping the warranties alive.

If Honda provides things like 5 year free service and labor, then no one will question this except for complaining of the inconvenience.
*
Yes, honda just trying to rip more money with service

And you can opt not to go back honda for services

Pictures no nid le bro can find in google hehe..

Racechips, drop in k&n filter, downpipe by supercircuit, anti roll bar and other minor stuffs. Thinking of doing the intercooler as suggested by KnightSports, but only if i upgrade the turbo.

A bit 15 16 for the turbo.. probably wait till a few ppl do it and test first. Scared CVT cant handle
*
CVT will break at 270
