What did they actually do for interior coating? That is the one thing i failed to understand.

I see ceramic pro coat also find it quite strange as they spray on instead of wipe on.

I changed from a VW Polo 1.2 TSI to a Civic 1.5t.

Polo:
- built quality is still better than Civic, be it exterior or interior
- dsg nicer to drive than cvt
- paint quality a lot better than Civic (my 1 month old Civic has more stone chips than my 7yr old Polo)

Civic:
- more comfy interior
- better nvh
- more reliable
- cheaper to maintain
- more technologically advanced than the Polo

Maintanence Minder left 800km. was going to book a service slot but the earliest I can find in reputable service centre in klang valley is half a month from now.
Has anyone faced this issue before letting the minder to run until minus couple of hundred km?
I might face such issue and worry that it will damage the engine.

TC/TCP has the oil / oil filter interval service for A and B in addition to the periodic service. So the periodic service doesn't change the oil / oil filter anymore. Is my understanding correct?

Anyone did a calculation or rough estimation of how much (in terms of %) does the maintenance of the TC/TCP higher than the 1.8?

I heard if you sit idling in traffic or stops also will degrade the oil life pretty fast. Not just mileage alone.

I did asked the SC on this question and i think this varies from service advisors or even between SC's.

There are stipulated intervals where items are changed on the basis of mileage or period whichever comes first. But, at this stipulated service intervals, the service A and B is also checked and if the remaining life is already low and not far away from the stipulated service intervals. What they will usually do is to advise customers to perform the service all together when they go in for the usual service intervals to prevent having to visit the service center twice within a short period.

Of course, customer is given a choice in the decision making ultimately.

The question here is how is the labour charges applied if you go for two separate services in a short period of time? Do i pay less if i do both together as both service is lumped into the same time or do i have to pay an extra hour or so by doing it separately? That i did not manage to get an aswer as they told me either way results in almost the same costs.

As i mentioned, it is all for the sake of keeping the warranties alive at the end of the day.

Although some lubrication cannot be left exposed to atmosphere for too long or it will go through chemical changes and become a danger to engine components. It is primarily down to the fact of keeping the warranties alive.

If Honda provides things like 5 year free service and labor, then no one will question this except for complaining of the inconvenience.
