QUOTE(denzel88 @ Jul 9 2020, 11:21 AM) Hi Guys, need some help here for a clarification on servicing. I did some research but couldnt get the answer. the service is 10000 or 6 months, whichever comes first.1. For TC or TCP servicing, the Service document mentions that the engine oil replacement period depends on the Engine Monitoring Indicator or Not over 6 months. Noted that if the indicator did not appear but if its already 6th month, I would need to change the oil. 2. On top of that I would need to service my car according to the scheduled period 1st,6th, 12th month and so on. Question is, must I change the Engine Oil base on #1 6 month countdown starts after I changed the oil or #2 Usual Car Service Period, 1 6 ,12 so on ? so, even if you drive less in 6 months, you still need to change the oil, and if you dont do so, your warranty is void. |

QUOTE(jamesborn5 @ Jul 9 2020, 09:56 AM) Same. I took a stationary position right turn, that’s when the spring sound occurred. I bring it to shop outside, they said sometimes it’s our anti roll bar under tension and sprung a little. Not sure if it makes any sense firstly, did you jack you car up prior to the sound?most of the time is because the spring is not sitting correctly to the mount, so either you drive and it will tink tink and correct by it self, or easiest is you jack the back of the car up and lower it back properly, let the spring sit correctly. can be done by tyre shop easily this is not honda problem, it can happen to any car brand. QUOTE(jeremychua @ Jul 19 2020, 01:45 AM) Hi, want to ask any Honda Civic 1.5 turbo owners changed their 17 inch tyres to 18 inch tyres? Is it recommended and what are the tyre recommendation? Also, do we need to change the rim to 18 inch in order to do so? Off course you need to change to 18 inches rim to fit 18 inches tyre. |

QUOTE(neuromancerx @ Jul 22 2020, 02:03 PM) i use ECO most of the time, when i feel want to some spirited driving i will disable it. good thing about ECO is it manipulate the throttle position, the ECU will think that you pressed the pedal gently, so you dont have that sudden acceleration and good on FC. if want to overtake some car, just pressed the pedal a bit more, it will downshift. I beg to differ from your inputsyou can achieve very good FC and you can have car that can easily goes to 200kmh (choose one). i used S mode 3 times, the good and the bad about is: it hold the rpm for 0.5-1 sec. good because you can resume at the higher rpm, immediate power is available, bad if you expect to have engine braking while attacking bend. our ECON is a real economy mode, not only for economical driving, ie gear change, throttle position, but will also alter the aircond so that it saves fuel. notice the blower will also slow down if in econ mode. S mode will hold the rpm higher, so that you get instant power at higher rpm band. it actually have engine braking when attaching bend, you can also use the paddle shifters to take manual control of the gears when attacking corners. |

I had almost same experience before, parked my car and eat at roadside restaurant, noticed a car parked behind my car, driver still inside, 1 guy aligned and walked to side of my car, standing there and holding some device.
I sensed something was not right, immediately I walked towards my car, the guy standing there panic and quickly ran back into the waitng car and they speed off. after that incident, I installed padel lock immediately. |

QUOTE(alex78ttr @ Sep 20 2020, 01:34 AM) Honda Service Center dishonesty. My Dashcam Captured the mechanic is not using the requirement engine oil for my car today, 19 Sep 2020. My car is a Honda Civic 1.5 turbo which require a Fully Synthetic Oil and the specification for my car engine oil is 0W-20 Fully Synthetic Oil. But my car was given a low grade 10W-30 Mineral Oil. This oil is not suitable for this Turbo Charged engine and it will deteriorate the engine lifespan. My bill was charged and written 0W-20 fully Synthetic Oil which is not the case during the oil change. can enlighten which SC is this? will avoid for sure.I have uploaded the video on YouTube to create awareness. |
