Pre-FL V spec car comes with one socket at reverse socket of head unit, with 3 wires connected, 1 for reverse signal, another 2 for F-CAN. Anyone know the reverse signal is connect to where? hmm.gif

I did installed cap ayam 3 view reverse camera, but abit not happy with glitch happen for a short while when push to R gear, since the signal tap from reverse light there. dry.gif

ask a noob question...

how long before a car need to check its undercarriage for rust etc and fix it?
*
Yearly, because when steel starts to rust, it doesn't stop. Iinm some car care shops offer anti rust coating for underbody. Pretty sure Honda doesn't offer anti rust coating because i asked my SA, he didn't seem to know. If your car doesn't have an engine undertray, maybe a good idea to get one while car is still new keeps the engine bay cleaner, imho.

Safety-wise,
Myvi of course, pretty sure I could've avoided all of my frontal collision accidents with the AEB. (either didn't brake hard or fully enough; [cause stupid old myvi brakes is weak as hell even when stomped] and another P driver mistake; [turning left, expected car infront to move cause no car crossing, it didn't move, but I moved without checking front])

Dont trust technology to be the end all be all. AEB doesnt work at all situations, the caveat is its only working at above 40(60?)kmh and if there's sufficient distance for detection (not tailgating), and perfect weather (daylight & not raining/foggy). Myvi's AEB system just meets the really basic requirement for the system to function, but to work as what users really want, it needs to have Pedestrian Detection, Cross Traffic Detection, and BLIS.

In terms of roominess & comfort, nothing really beats a Honda. Especially for long drives.

But its ur money and it has more tech now. Just dont rely on it with ur life (and ur passenger's), thats all.

Honda City is locally assembled...

But MYVI and City are two different type, one is sedan and the other is hatchback. But if you are planning to get the Jazz, then it would be a better comparison.

I collected my car on 8th of November and today i am doing my 10k service. My car is only 800km and I've already experiencing rattle on dashboard/door. Sent in for service and was told weekend service don't include checking complaints. I really feel that it is ridiculous that I still need to take leave to fix issue on my car that is less thn 2 years old. Told the SA that I am going to complaint if they don't checj for me and he say he will do simple checking. If this is not solved I am really going to write a lengthy letter. Even my Proton don't rattle until it is 1 year old.

Pin number looking from the behind of the wire.

right(12 - 1lLeft
right(24 - 13)left

Pin 1 - F-CAN_L
Pin 7 - BACKLT (reverse signal)
Pin 13 - F-CAN_H

do you know this pin 7 reverse signal is connect to where? I want to use it for my reverse camera instead of using signal from reverse light, as the screen shows slightly glitch when push to R gear.
