OnePlus 5T Camera Review by German site - https://m.heise.de/ct/artikel/OnePlus-5T-Ke...hr-3887487.html

hmmm....

what I get from the translation:

"
The main camera again consists of two sensors, one with 16 and one with 20 MPixel. The second is no longer a zoom, but has the same focal length and aperture as the first: f / 1,7, 27mm (according to data sheet, or 24mm according to EXIF)

If you click on x2 in the photo app, the digital zoom is expected to deliver photos with less detail than the optical zoom of its predecessor, even if that was just a x1.6 zoom.
"

so now 2 identical cameras?

5 x2 > 5T x2 ?

It was said to be of RGB + Monochrome setup like Huawei's Dual Lens setup.

Better photo quality in low light but lose optical zoom. I prefer this way since zoom sensor only work on bright environment.

Op5 T tomorrow. OP have been haunted by the data collection and software security issue, but their explanation put off these issues.

and not so much a concern for normal users

Anyone have this issue? When I deleted a photo from either Gallery, Download or Photos (If I have the same pic there) it will be removed from all of them. How to counter this problem?

Of course he took down the video since he already broke the embargo. Technically he is getting himself in troubles now since he uploaded the review video before the official release day, which is kind of stupid. Can't believe that such a veteran (more than 2 years in the field) tech reviewer would have done such a crazy move.

Anyway, it's too late now because many tech youtubers have downloaded the original video and reuploaded the whole thing into youtube (for viewer counts of course).

could be intentional/ planned marketing/ hype gimmick...

anyway, it could also be an oversight. reviewers all have written their articles and made the video way in advance. they would also have uploaded it to the servers... usually they can preset like what time the article or video will appear. so, could be that the fella accidentally forgot to set it.

How long does Brightstar bring in after official launch? 1 month later? 2?

It was less than a month after launch for the Op5. Hopefully the OP5T would be even earlier than that.

Hi guys would like to check with u guys, how is the battery in op5 holding up? Does it degrade fast? I am using Nexus 6p but the battery in it degrade way too fast... 5T looks like a very tempting option to change to now if battery is holding up well after all the dash charging wear....

light user here, mix of WIFI and 4G+, no gaming, maybe few minutes of youtube, lots of texting and some browsing.

yesterday my SOT was 10h 9m while battery at 18% (highest SOT so far)

i usually dash charge once a day at 20-30%% level, once I arrived at my office desk around 900-1000am.

age of phone is 3.5 months icon_rolleyes.gif

i know it is debatable on dash charging would degrade the battery, but yeah its my phone and after few online readings i put 100% trust on their research icon_rolleyes.gif

This OnePlus 5 remains in the pure tradition of the brand by offering a resolutely upscale experience. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 offers rock-solid fluidity. No lag or slowdown is felt, even when switching between gourmet applications.
