Square Enix has delayed the Final Fantasy XV multiplayer expansion, “Comrades,” from its previously announced release date of October 31 to early November.
“Due to final adjustments and to create the best possible experience, the online expansion Final Fantasy XV: Comrades will now be released in early November,” Square Enix said in a tweet from the official Final Fantasy XV Twitter account. It continued, “We’re sorry for any inconveniences this has caused but as soon as we can confirm the new Final Fantasy XV: Comrades release date, we’ll let you know.”
Final Fantasy XV is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will launch for PC in early 2018.
Final Fantasy XV add-on “Episode Ignis” will launch on December 13, Square Enix announced during the PlayStation Media Showcase at Paris Games Week 2017 pre-show.
The add-on features music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda of Chrono Trigger fame.

mahaled, i wonder if there's additional story in this which relates to the main game
it comes with the season pass.
i only manage to play a few hours yesterday but so far so good. To finish the DLCs, I think you might need >20-30hr of gameplay. You need to grind meteorshard (to generate electricity) in order to open up new area and quests.

If you play solo you don't need PS+. You can recruit AI players to join you in your hunts and frankly, they seem to be the better option for now since hunting with real players causes a few small issues such as extra loading/wait times (so much loading...) and bosses taking way too long to spawn during missions.

Do I need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play Comrades?
If you wish to play online with other players, you will need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold. For solo mode with AI comrades, you do not need an online subscription.
