Not sure, i went to them during my self esteem crisis...it was part of Employee Assistance Program i make full use of to survive my ordeal.

you can contact Clinical Hypnotherapist Hiro Koo from newmindcentre.com for clinical hypnotherapy service. I heard the initial consultation charge is around RM200 if not mistaken. He is local and can speak mandarin too. Now he is practicing in the Life Care Medical Centre, Bangsar South

I'm very depressed lately and feel like there's no meaning to my life. I'm constantly questioning my purpose in life. I felt demotivated and hopeless...

Thanks for all the above suggestions. i took my husband to a private hospital recently . a dr who provides hypnosis service. i took him for a problem,worked.
and still in followup. im considering for me too now. the dr shared with me some hypnosis information,which i found interesting,and started reading more.worth to have a look i think.

Same here. I have a degree but seem to not remeber anything. Cant find a suitable job. Have lots of student loans to pay. Feel like an alien in the human crowd. Cant seem to function like a normal person would.

Not exactly ideal, but at least something.

Bear in mind that they are staffed mostly by volunteers,
some of whom are just school leavers/part timers with poor
general knowledge, let alone psychology.

I also don't really like the way they are instructed or trained
to handle callers.

They will tend to reply when you ask them a question or their
opinion on some issue - "It's not what I think - it's how you feel".

They are taught to being impartial so as not to implicate
any liability on themselves, but that is a very silly way, and
defeats the purpose of setting up such a sensitive helpline in
the first place.

I actually have series of anxiety problems since I'm young. It's mainly tied to performance (sleeplessness before exam) etc, and at a point I need to be prescribed with sleeping pills.

It's a long way since, but I am still facing the problem. I guess at some level anxiety disorder does limit my ability to live my life. Like for example, changing job to Singapore had me so worked out up to the point I gave up an opportunity. Fear of failure limits myself so much that I don't even dare to try something new, or find a new job.

Anxiety is really tied to depression, so anxiety is anxious over future, depression is sadness over the past (e.g. I gave up the opportunity to go to SG). My depression had been mostly background noise... It's always there but most the time I'm okay.

I don't have too much budget for professional help. I'm trying to do more workout and it does help. Any suggestions?

they're very nice to talk to. I've experienced with them. They're excellent listener and provide good advise.


For self improvement,
1. you can actually make use of Youtube platform, always put your home page/ decorate your home page things with positive vibes such as positive songs, positive artist/ video [which you should do so to your Social Media's newsfeed such as Facebook]

search for the songs/ video "motivation song" + "motivation video" these actually helps

2. as in for facebook, try to minimised your browsing, because it can actually creates depression where you start to envy what others have, you dont have.

3. read books "self improve/ self-help" books are always best friend, it is just that Malaysia's biggest problem is LACK OF READING. When you stop reading, you stop self improvement, also at the same time, your motivation is gone, where you lost in your mission & goal! It is very important to start reading

4. join social club such as "Toastmaster" or "Leo" club, avoid their politics, look for positive group that can help you.

5. exercise or sports! stay active

6. get a pet, pet can be your best friend! and provide you positive energy too!

last but not least, feel free to pm me, it's been a while since "internet born", i used to help people that have depression.

Those days internet are a friendly corner where we make friends over internet.

If money, you gotta stop right there. Whenever your life is about money, sooner or later depression comes in.

My suggestion, as comment above. read books + youtube [motivation video], eventually, you'll found what you actually need/wants in your life.

Among other things is money, more to the point my gf is there. Anyway I've tried long to understand what I want in life, but that's largely... still unknown... haha...

Updates: I was depressed over the weekend, but I forced myself to go to gym (against most part of me...). Turn out I'm now alert and happy, even nothing had changed in my life. Just sharing pointers to keep yourself up...

let's start small, the choice of words you're using are negative. Always choose the brighter words in your mind. Eventually yourself will be positive.


Well that would be a strong point since relationship is something can build happiness in life. Just do it! Well put so much doubt?
