My Maybank card credit limit I have is about 3x my monthly salary.

My Maybank cl is 3x of my income, but cimb is 4x. Guess Maybank a bit strict on cl?

Maybank one certainly gives lesser credit limit. My OCBC is 4x as well.

But Maybank credit limit is the most useful one given their different ongoing promotion.

Is there any way we can look in the statement, which transaction that gives cash rebates, and how much is the CB?

As long as you spend on a weekend you are entitled to cash back.

Yes, MBB is more conservative with CL compared to other banks but they can easily approve your CL increase request provided with revised income documents.

Not really. Maybank is 5x of my salary while cimb was 2.5x. Hlb is the worst, only 1.5x

personally to me I do not bother much with the CL, since my usage most of the time is within the capped limit of the cash back.

From my past experience, having too high CL from 1 card I guess was one of the reason my application got rejected

So better to have low CL then we can have multiplle cashback cards available

Sometimes is depend which card you apply 1st, usually the subsequent card will have lesser CL compare to the 1st card. Again the final decision is depend on the bank smile.gif

welp, what a bummer.
CIMB can show the CB earned for any eligible transaction.

Just a pre-authorized amount, it will not be charged to your bill.

Mine is always RM 4 for pre-authorized amount. Probably it uses RM 4 = USD 1.

Every month without fail since April after CIMB CR gave no cash back for PTPTN.
