Just tested mine, I can login to my US ID. No problem. Switched back to my MY ID now.

Can we register 1 ID for different country app store? I’d love to know how.

iOS 11 is a battery drainer, at least for now. Perhaps the touted 11.1 that will be released with iPhone X might address this and other issues.

One thing I noticed though, my touch ID failed several times after a fresh restore. Had to restart almost 10 times for it to work normal again.

I did before but now its all okay. What you can try is to use email address as well to activate iMessage.

It’s by default and no other way to disable it IINM. Unless you hit the mute button.

Anyone facing touch screen sensitivity issue after updates to 11.0.1? Certain flipping scrolling didn’t response.

Ip5s here

On the contrary, for me, raise to wake function peforms correctly after 11.0.1. Also, I notice subtle smoothness compared to 11.

I mean while not updating / downloading apps

Normal surf or casual web browsing / messaging

IMO, iOS manages data well and does not use a lot. But, apps on the other hand can suck a lot depending on what you use. Example, YouTube on iOS use up a lot compared to Android because there is no control over video quality.

I see, same goes for fb videos, instagram snapchat and any domain with gif / vids?
*
Probably. Depends on how the app is customised for iOS. If it offers different quality of video then you can choose as such and save on data. Otherwise it always defaults to highest quality.

Sigh

Just noticed my 3rd party PC management tool(Copytrans) no longer works. Use it to transfer files to my iPhone. More efficient. Faster.
I dont like to use iTunes.

It doesn’t work due to iOS 11?

On 11.1 beta few days already. Only significant issue I noted battery drain in use is greater than usual vs 10.3 but still acceptable to me. Standby drain is still good
*
Makes me wonder, what did Apple broke with iOS 11 for it to have this battery problem across older devices.

Damn regret to update. Now I have to charge twice per day on 7+. Anyone else also charge twice per day on 7+?
*
How long was it after update? Have you let it settle in for at least few days? If it persists, try restoring the phone & start as new device.

I restored and used as new device and didn’t face any battery problems. Using 7+ as well.

I will monitor my usage this few days and see if restoring is needed.

I updated from 10.3.3 to 11.0.2 yesterday night. 6 hours standby without battery drop.

However, active time, battery drains quite fast...gotta monitor few days.
*
Yeah, monitor it first as for first few days, it will use up more juice.

Did you back up your phone before updating it? If the phone kept on showing apple logo, you might need to do a full reset on your phone and transfer you back up from iTunes to your phone  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
Best is as said, to restore the phone. The bummer is if you don’t have backup.

Anybody tried the calculator app where u press 1+2+3+4+5, the ans is wrong? I wonder is all affected?

What I find is that the calculator app responds slowly to repeated tap on + sign. Hence, the answer becomes wrong. Try doing it again, and make sure the + sign is highlighted for every tap and the answer will be correct.

Yeah. Means in a way, the calculator app is not working correctly. Imagine anyone take the result without thinking much.

Just to update, iOS 11.1.2 is released. So far the mentioned fixes are targeted for the iPhone X, not sure if there any other under-the-hood changes for other models.
*
From the reviews it seems to be iPhone X specific. Nothing else seems to be there for other models of iPhone.
