Any significant new features? smile.gif

Currently outstation so have to wait until I'm free to download it. From review, the battery feature is in this beta, to show the battery health.

Yeah ! Just downloaded and installed it

Anything else you can notice other than the battery status in the setting?

I got a mixed reading on the battery wear level. The Apple Battery Health (Beta) shows 95% of original capacity available, meanwhile the Battery Life app shows 3% wear.

So we should trust Apple and not third party app, right? Hehe...
*
Haha, since the function is still in beta, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Since the wear level is still minimal, I'll wait for year end to see if the wear worsen.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Feb 9 2018, 09:42 AM)
My ip8+ showed same result 0% wear on Apple app and battery life app
*
Good that yours is still new and the wear is none. Hope that it stays that way longest possible 😁

Ya, since the battery replacement program runs till year end there’s still time wink.gif
*
Hopefully the battery lasts longer and don't have to replace it all this year. Better that way 😂. Just change the phone once it's due for upgrade.

Yup, it’s not like your buyer will pay additional if you changed the battery. Probably sell it before year end so the buyer can decide whether or not he/she wants to change the battery. biggrin.gif
*
True2. Better sell off and state the battery condition. Like me, I don't mind selling off for lesser price as long as it's fair to both party. Just hoping this year's version will be worth it and not a half hearted dud like last year's.

Anything new for the battery health monitoring feature?
*
Everything looks the same. Addition or changes are under the hood. The battery health monitoring is the same as previous. Though since I used the beta, my battery health has reduced by 1%. Otherwise it's the same.

iOS Beta 11.3.3 is a bit buggier in terms of visual compared to 11.3.2. There are bug in WhatsApp where if you move from conversation to the main WhatsApp page there's delay in the visual.

I wonder what could've changed to warrant for such difference given that the size of the update wasn't that big.

No such issues at all on my ip8+ on 11.3b3
Only significant bug is at times keyboard will hung and slower response from keys
*
Could be different based on user and/or device I guess. Nevertheless, it's still working so I don't mind the small hiccup. I'm using Gboard & didn't face any slow down.

Just updated this morning so it’s hard to tell the difference. Initial impression though, after update & first unlock, everything was super slow/laggy. After a restart seems to be bearable.

Getting closer to official 11.3, prolly end of March.  rclxms.gif

Yeah. The size of the update is getting smaller, maybe this could be the last update before GM release? Still downloading the update 😁

Out of curiosity, are you guys running these new iOS beta releases on your main/primary phone or just on a secondary phone? Seems a bit risky if it’s the former laugh.gif
*
I'm using it on my primary device. Nothing much to worry as worse come to worse just need to format back.

My guess is one more beta then will be the GM seed.

Have been running the betas and feel not much excitement. Maybe iOS 12 will bring some new anticipation but judging from the news don’t expect much in terms of big changes in the new IOS.
*
Bring in stability & better battery management will do, IMO. Otherwise iOS is pretty good as it is.

What Android device are you using? I’m a mixed user (but primarily on iOS) too. Tried to switch over to Pixel XL 1, but after a while had to return back to iOS.

Same here, keep trying Android devices but end up coming back to iOS laugh.gif

Tempted to try Pixel (flagship hardware + stock Android) but don’t dare to coz no official MY warranty.
*
That's the downside but if you look pass it, it's the best (IMO) Android experience.

QUOTE(leinnz @ Apr 30 2018, 02:08 PM)
I am using P20 now. I wanted to get 1+6 but time constrained and get a p20  and so far the phone does not dissapointed me. also i found out now we can switch easily between iOS and android vice versa.
iPhone is too expensive for now and my wife needs an iPhone as hers has issues which fix is not a good choice, so i had to give her mine as she is pure iOS user.

I am impressed at both iOS and android to easily switch between easily
*
I heard the same review from a few friends using P20. Perhaps Huawei have come far since P9. When you switch, does WhatsApp data can be switched over easily too?

I think the only way to do that is via a paid app.
*
Yup. So far that’s the only way, using Transbackup. Wish in the future, WhatsApp will make it eaiser to switch, otherise Telegram is the better option.
