My battery drain quite fast on iOS 11.2
*
Which iPhone?
QUOTE(rai_fuzz @ Dec 8 2017, 08:11 AM)
You can try to reinstall WhatsApp and if the problem persists, best is that you restore the phone.
*
My only possum with what's app since ios11 is the push notifications....it doesn't show new messages anymore unless u login app and reconnect (or you don't kill off the app on multitask), either way its inconvenient...sometimes I login to reconnect and got prompted by a bunch of new messages sad.gif

Exactly what i facing, uninstall whatspp, reset network and restart phone didn't help. Last time used to get notification faster but not now 😑
*
yeap I tried everything but nothing works... looks like its problem from ios11, quick fix though, just don't kill off whatsapp app and let it run, and check whatsapp often for new messages sweat.gif

For those who havent already know, killing off apps in general is worse than leaving the apps in the background.
*
only if you plan to keep start up the app after killing it.. example if an app you use it often, don't kill it as it consume much more energy to start up, but apps that you don't even use it often, just remove it..

Generally, ios is optimised to keep things in the background wihtout killing it from the multi task tray. Perhaps you wanna check the background data whether it’s left on or off. For myself, i leave the settings at default and it seems to be okay so far without much hiccup.
Seems to be okay as I usually charge with Coopidea cable which seems to deliver charge faster than Apple’s original cable.
*
whatsapp is not stable in ios11, even having it in multitask might still not receive new push messages...and there're a lot of reports I google with similar issue...maybe u had the right settings somewhere smile.gif

That's true also. Hope iOS can get better & the issue is resolved quickly.
*
Yes..but I'm quite happy with 11.2 thus far, despite some small issues here and there....not sure if I'll go for the next update..unless it hasn't major update..otherwise I'd rather stay put...

WhatsApp still no notifications?
*
There's notification but the push is kinda buggy right now...sometimes it works 100% fine and sometimes it doesnt...I'm still testing it as per initial findings has something to do with killing the app from multitask..that also mean disconnecting whatsapp entirely...till u use the app again to reconnect, so for quick fix just don't kill off whatsapp and I'll still receive push...but still not all the time..

What do you mean by the battery percentage bar?
blink.gif
*
U can't view battery percentage on iPhone x main screen...u can only check the % if u pull down top right control centre...and a few other ways but non are as convenient as the regular main screen batt % display

QUOTE(attw @ Dec 11 2017, 11:47 AM)
Hmm, strange. I didn't experience any delay in WhatsApp notifications on both the 8 Plus and 7 Plus on 11.2 when I was using it.
*
I hope it's not my settings issue then...but I googled it a lot also experiencing this issue on ios11

Oh OK. Hope there's a fix for it soon then.
*
Yea apparently it was an intentional approach..not sure why are they doing this if it was intentional but if there's one thing I need a fix on the x, that would be the batt percentage..

This doesn't tell the whole story coz you've plugged in the iPhone already bro. Need to see your usage and standby from last charge and how many % remaining to see if you have an abnormal drain or not.
*
QUOTE(ZenXL @ Dec 11 2017, 06:21 PM)
Oh I see. Okay then, I'll fully charge it then get the info later when it's already low battery.
*
Could be subjective as well, if you perform a full charge but run heavy apps like games/streams etc, you will end up with quick drain as well, best is to measure your normal usage...for me full charge normally get me to 12-15 hours usage and about 20-35 hours standby (full charge before bed time already take 8-9 hours standby) but diff person has diff usage, mine is pretty normal whatsapp forum social media and etc, no games no movies/YouTube...biggrin.gif

heavy use on social media and youtube for me, sometimes after I'm free then maybe a little bit of Mobile Legends but I think that's the one draining the battery a lot.
*
Ooo mobile legends drain a lot of batt even on Ipad (according to my friends who play it), + YouTube and social medial short videos, no wonder your x drain so much bro biggrin.gif well I understand though if get an expensive device but can’t do all these then better not get it...sad.gif

if you mean percentage like 95% on main screen, then you probably will never get it.

It is intended to be that way ( no percentage unless you scroll down to control center )
*
Why not? All the iPhones have it, what makes this x so special (unfortunate) to not have it? Already put a notch there for us to suffer and still doesn’t give us the batt %? That’s a double ko to us...

Problem with the notch on the iPX

The right side is already full with wifi/data, signal bar and battery icon until theres no space for the battery percentage,. Though this can be overcome if apple released a special patch for iPX where the battery percentage is displayed on the battery icon itself.
*
Yes the left side clock is so lonely by itself, by right apple can throw that signal bar to the left, and leave some space for batt % on the right...or at least an option to choose either to display a batt bar or just the percentage itself...not necessarily have both the bar and the % biggrin.gif

That sucks. I’d think Apple would iron out this kind of issues.
*
but so far im using it 2nd day, 1st day does show abit more batt drain (not siginificant, maybe about 80% vs 70%), 2nd day today not much diff, same usage, same batt %... hmm

apparently a lot of people reported Assistive Touch causes battery drain (not sure how bad)...im still testing, 2nd day feels fine... but yesterday I can feel the diff but not much, maybe drain 10% faster than normal usage..

It may be true though. My iphone battery seems to be draining faster ever since the iOS updated. Will update again when I've tested it out!
*
yes please test it out, im testing as well, like mentioned, day 1 seems to drain more (about 10% more than usual) but today seems ok...

holy shit, i thought i'm the only one having issues with battery draining faster than usual when i updated from 11.1.2 to 11.2, regret like fuck should've sticked to 11.1.2 because 11.2 was a panic release by apple team...

saw so many good reviews here then i updated last week and i thought the problem is on my end, so emo sad.gif
*
to be honest I think 11.2 is by far the most stable update... definitely much better than 11.1.2 in every ways...even the batt consumption is far better on the 11.2 (proven on iphone 8/8plus/x).. not sure on older models..
