If I am rider, of course I would choose the cheapest ride of the two....afterall, there is little differentiation between Uber and Grab.

If both fare about same, then, I will request Grab, coz no need hassle answer call from driver asked "mana mau pigi?"

Grab driver mau accept, accept lor, don't want accept, don't accept lor....no need call and ask, willing rider, willing driver.

Plus, Grab got promo one, got points convert to other stuff Uber habuk pun tarak

But, in my records, I always give 5 star one ok, and I never let Grab/ Uber driver wait one, I wait for them, and give as much details about my appearance when request ride, like what colour shirt I wear, what I wear, and almost stand middle of road when see them approaching.....lucky haven't get mowed down by car or lorry yet

But, I got to agree with u......don't know why some drivers rate me so low, maybe I choose to pay via credit card kua..... or, some ride, I request for others on behalf....

% of riders get banned, or number of riders get banned is way way way much lower compare to drivers.....so far have not heard any riders get banned. Suspended yes, banned, no.

my suggestion, or my trick when receiving request from condo, I will message rider their block or lot number before even I start driving there. Then, only they reply I will start my journey. When almost reach (~5 min before), I will swipe arrived, so, I no need to wait for too long, most of riders are divas, arrived only start wearing shoe, come out, lock door, wait for life, etc, etc.....easily 10-20 min wait.

Of course, you can click cancel after 5 min, but, then, what pissed off 4:59 min, they appear

So, rather than I wait, better they wait.....they think their time important, ours not meh?

Cancelled, drive bit further. away their line of sight. Then, wait for their next request again

Consider my community service to Uber driver out there......

If rider don't wait at designated spot waiting for me, or make me wait more than 1 min, too LCLY, demanding this and that, air-con too cold, air-con too hot, radio too loud, etc, all straight one star.....

They just tumpang my car, in return for my petrol cost, respect is earned, before u want how want to be treated, first you must treat others how u want to be treated.

Uber is lack of driver now due to their cheap fare and stupid policy, what would you expect eh? Just top up a bit, take Grab or take taxi lor........

gone are the days of cheap fare and many drivers......many drivers start to realised at petrol cost of RM2.29, it aint going to work out, if petrol still like last time, below RM2, can still barely pull through lah....now, charity drive, got to rely on incentives.....which is dammed uncertain, and u don't know where your rider destination, throw in plenty of cheap voucher, literally, can even less than 1km trip those part-timers had quit or move to Grab

Uber is heading to the downsouth, they got the riders, but, no drivers.....while Grab at the moment is playing their strategy right, balance, very soon, the history of Didi "killed off" Uber in China will repeat here if the Uber Malaysia still sleeping, or perhaps, Malaysia is not a exciting market for Uber global, so, not a fuark given.....

Then, unless there will be another strong competitors come in, else Grab will monopolised everything, drivers will at the mercy of them For those driving part time, for fun, at least they can pull out anytime they want. For those driving full time, good luck for them, another taxi pajak in disguise waiting for them, slavery for the car

Based on my old old Uber experience, Uber will say "good news, we will further reduced our fare. With reduced fare, you will get more ride request, you will drive more and earn more"

U r wrong.....so long there is demand, there is even only left 1 driver on road, they won't....after all, they just develop the apps. Cost of apps already sunked-in. And, looking at the investors pump in money, will be very long time they will go bankrupt. At most, maybe they will pull out from Malaysia market when they can't compete with Grab.

There is always 2 type of riders.....the one price sensitive, these riders, everytime, they want a ride, will check the price first. Will choose whichever cheaper, timing is not issue for them. Another type, they want the ride fast, they don't mind pay slightly extra compare to others.....So long as the price sensitive riders exist, Uber will exist, because some ride, it cheaper using Uber.
