I feel sad about the top panel design worse than 7 for whole screen cover on top of speaker portion.

I think it's nice there is a physical Apple Store close by now. Probably won't have to wait too long for stock availability in our region now.

It doesn't work when the subject eyes are closed and your eyes do have to look directly in the camera. Put it that way, if you think you would fully aware of circumstance when someone is using your phone, pointing at you directly like taking a picture, then the feature is safe.
When i do my long run, unlocking is a pain with passcode or fingerprint. The phone is soaking wet, and so am i. To use the phone, i would need to blow air in the phone for minutes until it drys and slowly pressing the key, one at a time and eventually i get to punch all in to unlock it. Iphone 8 and Iphone X are so disappointed .. TBH , let's exclude Iphone 8 / plus , We talk about iphone X . Apple removes the home button , and now as for the the phone, it has no touch ID unlock function . Apple includes the Face ID (Face Recognition Function) Which samsung already have it on Samsung galaxy S8 / + . Only thing special about the Iphone X is just the screen .
On the other hand , the Iphone 8 . Additional Features : Fast Charging . Wireless Charging . Some slight improvement in system . Ram remains . Im an Apple fans myself , but i expect more from Apple .. like in-screen home button / in-screen fingerprint unlock etc. |

That charging pad for multi wireless apple devices can charge simultanouesly is sure and additional accessory we need to pay. But does the standard wireless charge for the phone comes as standard and need not buy? I hope its not like those Apple Pen thing.

Demo failed but it wasn't Face ID's fault. Same as existing iPhones, we need passcode to unlock once the phone restarted, before we can use Touch ID to unlock. I guess someone did not unlock the demo iPhone with passcode before the demo, hence this happened. |

i'm currently watching the keynote video, and my opinion is face id is much easier for stalker compare to touch id.
why i said this? touch id, you basically have to assign any fingerprint(even your feet print) so even anyone have to have a lot of time guessing which finger you used. face id, simple, put your face on the phone, settle. for thief could be hard, but for people who want to skodeng your phone, really simple. |

I think it will definately take some time for the IphoneX to reach Malaysian shores. Apple is just creating a hype for it by delaying its release.

i always envision that a smartphone touch screen should be baseless without any button on the surface. Home button is the last thing i want on a smartphone. Last time i used HTC is because it doesn't have button and the screen wake mechanism is what X is using now. I missed my HTC and X can continue the legacy a phone screen that is baseless and button less. I don't mind the top panel for camera tho.

iPhone X is certainly no iPhone Plus.
It might be a hard transition for someone who frequently uses the Plus features. Some of the contents will be cropped on the iPhone X screen size. The below of what that would look like. Although the screen is taller it will have smaller width content. This is obvious in Safari where the sides are cropped with white bars on both sides. No tabs too when browsing probably because no enough vertical space. If they use size classes, the iPhone X acts like an iPhone non-Plus. Next year X Plus will pick up the Plus changes.

anyway... every year I also change my wife phone.. LOL
buy sell top-up, already been doing this for the pass few years.. so this year also same, the only difference is the resell value is not as nice as previous already.. and due to the price is getting higher, is slightly harder to sell now, as all need to transit in cash, mostly now also purchase with credit card, can earn points, cash rebate, instalment. |

Face ID would be godsend for long distance runner carrying along phone. I often missed phones because it's impossible to unlock with fingerprint and password. In time, i just leave my phone at home. You can't really use the phone when it's soaking wet anyway.
