I think Malaysia gonna have a long queue like the days we seen in the iPhone 4/4S days for the iPhone X. The price is irrelevant.

QUOTE(666devil @ Sep 15 2017, 09:38 PM) Apple bashing time: The swipe away to home screen is definitely Samsung's. But damn when Samsung follow Apple it sucks aka haptic feedback. I play with S8 one versus my iPhone 7 I really can't help myself not to https://www.facebook.com/theMrMobile/videos...61223547319279/ Apple seldom invent new things. They reinvent things. And polish it up to make things work seemlessly. Any by using their popularity, they make everyone adopt to it. The video shows none of the things they "launched" is new. Yet they will become the most popular features so far. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 18 2017, 02:22 AM) they can copy the exterior of it. But one thing they cannot copy is the user experience of it. Yup, and don't forget their crappy upgrade. Don't expect latest OS from Samseng for any devices more than 2 years old.Even a cheap product can look as close as it is to Apple, the user experience is still big difference. Even Samseng flagship phone cannot win over Apple in terms of user experience. |

QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Sep 18 2017, 06:43 PM) The Touch ID has failed on me a lot of times. I can't bother counting. But the Face ID looks pretty serious with three sensors in all...and it even comes with Machine Learning which makes a whole level of complexity. Anyway, time will tell but what I know is it is definitely not gimmicky like Android's facial recognition. |

I will say this is one of the advantage for Apple on being both software and hardware.

QUOTE(xisan @ Sep 20 2017, 11:22 AM) This thread not for fans only. Some people need pros and cons to make a decision to jump ship. What pros and cons are you talking about. the iPhone X has not even shipped yet.The notch is really a messed up design but it is what it is. If you feels hurt what other people commenting about the phone, then you are fanboyism. You can simply ignore them. |

QUOTE(xisan @ Sep 20 2017, 04:51 PM) Clearly you never tried face unlock/iris scanner in Android phone before, that's why you don't know how inconvenient it is as the only option to fast unlock the phone. Face unlock is more like a gimmick. It shares the same functionality like Facebook tagging. Iris tagging imo is like taking a picture and then matching a picture. However, Face ID is the real deal. Apple dared to linked it with Apple Pay. This is equivalent to cryptography, you won't let it be use unless you're sure it is 100% secure. If don't want to use it, then need to go old-school by unlocking it with passcode/password. In the USA, that's massive lawsuits at hand...lol. Anyway, the phone is not out yet. Apple could remove the link with Apple pay and save their ass then. |

Anyway I understand where you're getting at. Face unlock/iris scanner is not so much of a problem when the phone is in your pocket and you take it out to check something. However, most of the time we check our phone when it is face flat on the table (the power of touch id) and we would never lift our phone up unless we really need to reply to something. If don't want to use it, then need to go old-school by unlocking it with passcode/password. |

QUOTE(xisan @ Sep 20 2017, 09:13 PM) I'm not here to compare anything, I'm neutral to all. Just that feels something 'less' about the iphone X without the touch ID. Just to let potential buyer to know, one con about this phone. Hassle every time to fast unlock it. FYI, Samsung linked iris scanner with Samsung Pay too. Of course Apple enhanced them to the next level, but rely only Face ID to me is a dumb move. You are not entirely neutral when u say u would adapt to Samsung's back fingerprint placement but not to iPhone X Face ID. You're obviously harping on iPhone X without the touch ID and not letting it go. Forget about my other post about not lifting it up since Samsung has theirs at the back. Every phone has it own pros and cons, like S8/+ and Note8, the fingerprint placement is lame. Everyone make a hu ha about it. I don't care I will adapt, same as iPhone X soon to own. Just that, it's there, the con. My point is, I don't know why some peeps keep protecting their beloved product, can't even understand what I'm trying to say. Con is a con, can't make it in the pro list. Hopefully next year will be better. Bring back the Touch ID Like you yourself already said (on samsung back fingerprint scanner) other people's cons is a pros to you. Therefore, if Touch ID is so important to you, why don't you just let this thread go. Subjective opinions are subjective. Besides, you're talking about it so negatively. What is this about just to let potential buyer to know despite not owning the phone yet? What do you know that we already don't know? Despite all this that you have said and done, would u still buy the phone anyway so you could trash talk on it later? |

QUOTE(xisan @ Sep 20 2017, 10:17 PM) Thus we shall praise to let everyone see even though there is cons we should accept as it is. Mind you I'm not brand-fag, I use all mobile-OSes. I love every inch of their uniqueness. Ok. IMO, FaceID could be better than TouchID since TouchID doesn't work very well. But the keynote fails so it is still not a 100% thing. This is discussion thread, everyone can voice out but there is a line. As far as I'm concern, I'm not over the line. Bashing is for kids and mindless brand-fag. 2nd con is the notch. But it's okay for me. It's the X uniqueness. But not for everybody of course. Now now let's stop it here shall we? The X my guess will be in RM4699 or RM4799. No special color this time around. So Gold looks appealing But anyway, fingerprint don't really work very well especially for old people or people who does hard labor. Face ID is still the way forward whether you like it not. |

QUOTE(xisan @ Sep 20 2017, 10:56 PM) Once Apple do it, there will more improvement for it. That's what i like the most about Apple. Like wireless charging, now we can see it everywhere. Even Android can share to use them. Ya, like wireless charging. A true standard. I am kind off hoping there will be a biometric standard. Don't care which side won really but it has to be so good it overrides all. Since right now Samsung is towards Iris and Apple towards FaceID, it could be like HD-DVD vs Bluray showdown in the days. |

The notch is like the Samsung Edge series now no more. Looks good on paper but kind of sucks elsewhere. Then again Apple has the muscle to force developers to utilize the notch. At the moment there's much to be seen whether it is truly crap or not but IMO, it is a resounding yes. Lol

QUOTE(whitetower @ Sep 24 2017, 11:10 PM) Am I the only person worried that blasting multiple infrared lights to my eyes many times a day not cause long term permanent damage to the retina? Don't worry lol. It just allows the camera to see in the dark. Infrared itself is the heat generated by the body. |

QUOTE(jenniferjen @ Oct 17 2017, 07:00 PM) Cause you have better and affortable choice? I think you should buy it cause you cared too much about it. Why even try to convince yourself not to buy it...just saying... I mean merely taking smartphone as the most important device in your life as reason to buy the most expensive one doesnt sound right |
