Hi all,

Am looking for a good android box, that can play Astro Go, and has a built in DVB-T2. Also can play those streaming videos from other apps.

No, i'm not going to subcribe to IPTV cos seriously unstable and buffering.

Right now i using Himedia Q10pro but need another DVBTV and Astro Decoder to get all this. Too many gadgets already. Astro Go doesnt work anymore with my Himedia Q10pro.

Thanks for any recommendation.

Astro Go is working very well on my Himedia Q10pro.

as for that + DVBT2... tough... even if u find one, it will be much more costly than 2 devices.

Hi sifus,
I'm currently using minix u9-h to stream astro go. My issue is the stream is jittery, a lot of frame skipping and occasional a few seconds black screen.

I've updated the apps to latest version using aptoid, but problem still persist. However there's no issue when using netflix and unifi playtv.

Do you have any advise about this astro go issue?

does it happen to all channels or only live HD ones?

Talking about frame skipping, erm, not sure if this can reduce the issue a little.
On your Android TV box's Display settings, change to 50Hz refresh rate instead of the usual default 60Hz.

Example if now is 1080p 60Hz, change it to 1080p 50Hz, and see whether it improves or eliminate the frame skipping issue or not...

I am using T95Z Android Box for my Astro Go from the day they launch beta until now and no issues.

Previously, under the "old" Astro Go, the app didn't work but now it works.

quite true the current version is overall less problematic than the old one, works on most unrooted boxes.

it is easier on windows as well.

only known disbenefit is it does not work well on many ATV devices incl smart tv's, unlike old one.

The new Astro Go works with VPN now to a Malaysian server. Previously, the old Astro Go doesn't work with VPN.

Sounds like AOTG does have a problem with the graphic device driver.

astrogo is built to work on touchscreen handheld devices.

regular android or atv, a mouse is needed to use on any box in order to navigate fully.
