yep, the last i checked, this latest new version also had same judders for live hd channels, no improvement.

the original list has some ATV devices but i have removed them as they either dun work or unclear if it works properly.

the cheapest one that can do the app is tanix tx3mini android7, very popular at RM105:

if u r confident of the flashing process, worth a try.

yr box has same chipset and android version as tx3 mini.

tx3mini also can't work with v8.2.6 official but works with v8.2.6 modified (u can search for it).

it works fine with the new current version.

Click settings at top right.

Click my device.

of course it is the app version la...

this is the current version, no newer one.

becos the app is built for mobile devices, touch screen where u touch, swipe, etc.

if yr remote has a mouse pointer function, still ok.

just set yr favorites..., homescreen, go to all channels, select favorites tab...

if u fail with all the advices and suggestions, don't waste any more of yr time struggling with it.

just get a tx3mini android7 for rm105, close root, be done with it.

u can also do it with many other boxes but will cost more, some a lot more.

I just saw a notice flashed in v8.2.6 on my ATV tv.

It says the app for LG smart tv will cease on 30 sep.

Looks like it... v8.2.6 will die on oct 1.

current version works fine on tx3 mini android7.

yes, mibox s with ATV os has that judders problem... no one knows if future versions will work fine.

all u need is a mouse, explore, click, click.

no mouse, everything is difficult for boxes.

tanix tx92 uses the popular AML s912 chipset... i m surprised it gets hot.

yep, this is one thing great about the new app - it is chrome friendly unlike old version.
u can now work on PC in the office, watch some movie or sports anytime u like.
and i think use on PC windows does not count towards the 4 devices.

i am quite sure Q5pro firmware is same as Q10pro, currently 2.1.4.
they are unrooted, no need magisk or superSU app to do anything.
since 1.5 years ago, they can run astrogo, old or new versions.
in fact, u can just go to playstore and install it.
if there is any update, u just go to playstore to update or wait for it to auto update.
this is rare as other boxes need manual download apk to sideload, to update.

talking of which there is a new astrogo apk dated 5 sep 2019:

this new release supposedly allows decoder users to record shows on cloud storage, then access with astro go anywhere.

i already updated on my 3 boxes, all OK.
but bad news for ATV - it still doesn't work - judders on live HD channels like before.
can use v8.2.6 for now but come Oct 1, likely it will be killed off as implied on a message flashed when u launch v8.2.6.

i don't know this box.

but if it is AndroidTV (ATV) OS, new astro go will likely have judders just like Mibox.

Is your tv just hd? Not planning to get new 4k hdr/dolby vision tv?

Becos netflix 4k will need a 4k tv to display.

And almost all 4k tvs come with netflix 4k.

Astrogo is the easy part... we know quite a lot of boxes can do that, probably more in the future.

I can only say himedia q5pro, q10pro and tanix tx3mini, tx5max are fine for astrogo new version.

The rest, better let actual users confirm, not hearsay.

About v8.2.6, keep yr fingers crossed... come oct 1, things may change.

from the many reviews i have read n watched so far.... allwinner and rockchip boxes are the ones that get most "overheating" comments.

i really don't know as i don't have any of those.

but i can say same brand - Tanix - tx3mini, tx5max using AML are cool, stay cool whereas tx6 allwinner overheating has been reported repeatedly.

himedia and and some others use metal boxes, not plastic - heat dissipates better, never had serious overheating issues.

do u get them for all channels or just some?

the black bars are there for SD shows; HD channels should be full.

this has been there for a long time, incl old versions.


* i do not if there is any diff for astro go between HD (beyond) and non-HD subscriptions.
