Between LG 65NANO81TNA and Sony X9000H which is better?
*
Sony x9000H is far better tv.

Lg NANO81 review.
Disappointing for HDR movies. The LG NANO81 doesn't support Dolby Vision, its color gamut is only decent, and it doesn't get bright enough to make highlights pop in HDR, so it doesn't look different from SDR content. It also has a low contrast ratio, a bad local dimming feature, and poor black uniformity.

Mayb u can check out the LG SM9000,  its 2019 model but its much better than the nano81. It has DV , DA and might have support for HDMI 2.1 (waitin for PS5 to release to confirm)
Movies looks great in Netflix , Blu Ray 4k

LG sm9000 hdr review from rtings.com
Just okay TV for watching movies in HDR. Unfortunately, like most IPS TVs, it has disappointing contrast and poor black uniformity, so it doesn't look as good in a dark room. Although the LG SM9000 has a local dimming feature, it's ineffective at improving dark-room performance. On the other hand, this TV can display a great wide color gamut for HDR content.

Sony X900H HDR review
The X900H is a great TV for watching movies in HDR. It has a high native contrast ratio that allows it to produce deep and inky blacks, and it has a good full-array local dimming feature to further improve black levels. It has a good HDR color gamut and it gets bright enough to bring out highlights.

Hi all sifu, i'm gamer, looking to buy 65' TV, considering SONY x90j and Toshiba z770, only few hundred different, which is better ah?
*
For Hardware Spec, Toshiba z770 better than x90j. Local dimming zone 72 vs 24, 95% DCI-P3 vs 90% DCI-P3. Hdr brightness 25% 1380 nits vs 656nits. For TV speaker 68w vs 20w, This is one is toshiba advantage.

Sony is better than toshiba in better video processing chip set & better accuracy colour picture mode tuning. Both tv got pro & cons, You have to test it by yourself. Since you are gamer, you should ask them switch to game mode for comparison. Normally for Led TV, Game mode will reduce local dimming function & switch off some video processing power . Game mode picture mode will worse than other picuture mode. unless you buy oled.

Less reviews , because its not worth it .
I certainly wouldn't even spend time to calibrate it .

Too much work yet the result is far from satisfactory .
On the perspective of a calibrator , these H... , S...., X.... , H2...., P..... are completely not worth the time .

Lack of customization , flashy numbers but with many caveats .
At the end of the day , a 65 " Toshiba z770 and X90J and are of identical price .  It should be a no brainer purchase .
The new Sony XR chip is groundbreakingly good .

It doesn't matter if it has 50 zones , or 72 zones .

Similar to LG 's higher end LCD which has FALD , but have we actually seen many great reviews out of them ?

The exact same theory can be applied here .
It took years of experience for brands to finetune every aspect of the picture .
Also if you think it is not bad , why are you asking question around here ?
The only ppl that actually inspect TV in this forum , you can name them .

After saw Thailand reviewer Calibration result, too bad . I definitely will give up toshiba z770, choose x90j.

Seems like the educated consensus is to get the Sony.

The price of 2020 x900h is Rm500 cheaper than 2021 X90j, if I don't game on the TV and mainly watch movies, youtube and 1080p content should I save the money (x900h) or splurge on the latest (X90j)?

Currently using an 8 y o Sharp, was torn Btw the Sony vs the Z770 (on paper it beat the Sony) or go for the 75 MI Q1

Better buy x900j which use 2021 year best video processing chipset Cognitive Processor XR . X900h tv use the 2015 year old minrage processor x1 . Do you want to buy 2015 old tech midrange product in 2021 use for next 10 year , save for RM500 TO skip top new high end processor. Sony chipset Cognitive Processor XR > x1 ultimate > x1 extreme> normal x1.
