HELP!! after i format my window and instal the ati and reboot it, it come out the box say that The applicatio failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) click on ok to terminate the application. anyone can help me solve the problem???

Dell 6400 does have firewire. There is a 4 pin port on the right side of the laptop. The first port from the right.

What is a notebook firewire?

It's really comfortable and it's a Laser mouse. Very sensitive. it even has a one click =  double click button.

need some help here

I tried to connect my 6400 to my TV using S-Video 7 pin Male to RCA Female adapter BUT my TV don't detect at all

What's my prob?

I followed all the instructions in the owner's manual page 63
BUT when i clicked Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advance; i can't find the tab for my video card

I even lower the resolution by 800 x 600 since TV cannot detect res higher than that BUT still, nothing...
what am i done wrong here? Need advice

get asus if you want powerful gc..
i saw some got 512mb x2300..

ASUS don't seem to provide anything above x1700/7700, or for DX10, 8600M or above. So where can you find anything named with an ASUS with 7900GS.

IMHO, the X2300 should be almost the same if not a little better than the x1400. The 512MB hypermemory is just a marketing gimmick. What you should look for is the dedicated memory size

anyone tested the 6400 to play some HD DVD movies? Is it jerky? Coz i downloaded a 1080p Fantastic 4 trailer and it jerks a bit during playback...

for info, the specs for my Dell are

Intel Core 2 duo t5300
2gb ddr2 sdram
120gb hdd

so u think it's enough for true HD playback? wuts the minimum requirement anyway?

You are reinstalling what windows? Windows Vista or XP?

For Vista, you don't need to reinstall any drivers. All dell 6400 drivers are available in the Windows Vista installation.

You just need to update the drivers if you want to.

no no...u shouldnt take 7400....x1400 much better than 7400...well....x1400 fall under low-medium range graphic card...dont expect eyecandy when playing latest games...

hahaha....well...people always tot x1400 is good edy...if wanna play game with eyecandy, better at least take notebook with x1600....huhuhu...

ok i need help from u guys..i formatted and when i wanna create 2 partitions for my hdisk they said max partition is 4

now i have 4 partitions

1)os
2)media direct
3)dell stuff 1
4)dell stuff 2

i need another partition for my self.. i read the 1st page they said only have 3 partitions but i have 4

media direct is the same.. around 5mb

but the other 2 dell stuff in seperate partition!

guys , i recently facing wireless problems on my 6400 . i hardly can connect to wifi when i m in wifi area ... I try to uninstalled the wifi driver and reinstalled it on the spot and it cant solved my problems ....looks like i gonna flame dell again and ask for troubleshooting
