In ur lappy box..they got provide adisk called dell media direct by cyberlink..that is for your media direct button.If your media direct button not working..when u press the button it will same as onoff button..juz boot to windows only.

i got my 6400 on Saturday...
Sounds cool and it looks like missing 10Gb for the Vista installation...
Anyone got idea with the Recovery partition ?

I got six CDs if not mistaken, check properly, it might be located inside the manuals.

so did u get ur laptop with the free ram promotion?

i still cant get use to my truelife lcd..eyes pain and very fast tired!

Eyes pain? Is it to bright or cos of reflection? I also felt that Old screen is better in eye protection. May be cos no so bright kua.

wana ask when using the power cable then battery need to take out. If i open for the whole nite?
i heard is better to take out the battery so the battery can last longer, is it true?

Just got my 6400 not long ago...stil wondering wan to reformat it or not...feel like wana kept the recovery...whats ypu guys advice?

hm...well i guess its best if u take ur battery out if ur on power cable.

laptop heat will kill your battery life span...so better take out..

by the way now used to truelife ady...need to used it under the dime condition then only look nicer...

the screen actually look better compare to normal one....
then again cannot use if the room is too bright...
but is there anyway to counter this? i heard got lcd sticker for this?
anyone using the sticker?
currently,
my laptop is running at 58-64c(for cpu), 44-46c for hdd is this normal?

hm..my temp is normally 5C lower than yours. maybe still new thats y no dust inside.

nah its easy to take out.. just push a button lol..well i think if lightning strike it will burn the lappy coz it's connected to a power source..

hm..what can possibly happen if u take out the battery? battery drop?

cant run it .. the thing hangs when starting up..
got some probs..

run xp? no.. it loads straight into OSX after BIOS>.

so it is recommended that to use battery power when raining rite?gonna try take out the battery later at home. haha.

ya, I bought my laptop during the 2GB RAM promotion period biggrin.gif
I am still ok with the the truelife, maybe you need to adjust the brightness

I am looking for a cooler pad and also a backpack for the laptop
any recommendation ?

hm...yours din include backpack? i think targus brand good loh...for cooler i not sure, maybe try coolermaster brand...around RM100...not sure..
