Other than Phil feeling as sobber as Kobe is, i feel bad for Bynum.
This young kid having to go through with all the politics, life sure is hard with the Lakers whistling.gif

As long as Lakers have outspoken players in the form of kobe, its hard to not feel bad for any of their players.

After the Jordan era there is no player I really follow personally. There are stars like Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Nash, Duncan etc but I personally they are at the same level and none shine above another. Maybe the NBA style of have evolved into a more team play rather than solo performance.

True, but i wouldn't say team play, but just no particular player that shines above those in superstar status.

But i'd always love Hakeem The Dream. Now...maybe..i dont even know myself

If LBJ born in 1960, he will be a player like mike, trust me is the commercials and marketing that make a player a "god". plus that time, NBA is attended by higher class audience, not like now, all hip hoppers.

the environment has changed, shift to new era man!

In order to become a great superstar like MJ you need a good team as well. Sure MJ is great but his Chicago Bulls teamates are also great. If Lebron or Kobe want to be the next MJ they need a better teamates.

Trail Blazers center Greg Oden, the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, will undergo exploratory arthroscopic surgery this week because of pain in his right knee.

An MRI taken last week showed Oden may have some cartilage problems, general manager Kevin Pritchard said Monday.

A timetable for Oden's return will be set following the surgery, which will take place Thursday in Vancouver, Wash. The Trail Blazers open training camp in three weeks and the regular season starts Oct. 30.

Thats an early injury scare

Oden's really terrifying in the paint...his presence is equivalent to Shaq

Don't really follow NCAA basketball so I don't know how good Durant or Oden is. I don't think they can perform well in their rookie year like LeBron or Wade. Playing in the west is is tougher compared to the east. Hopefully playing for a rebuilding team will improve their skill and make them better a better player.

Durant is really good.
Called the 6-10 version of Carmelo Anthony.
Can score at will with 3pt range.

During a NCAA game (if not mistaken vs Kansas). The opposing team tried every defensive formation & sent their best defender to chase Durant. But still can't stop Durant from dropping 28pts in 1 half.

NBA's standard is much much higher than NCCA, if Bowen mark Durant that will be interesting tongue.gif
