Got yourself the Orbs ar? I browsed through their website before, but couldn't find it to audition here so don't know how it sounds.

Please give your reports here. How does it compare to the KEF eggs?

Will give FR once it's hook up...standing so high on the ladder make me sweat...will ask my friend to help me put it up tonight, I was sweating like hell last night but could not even take off one .... already sweat like hell standing 5 feet from ground
they do came with the 1/4" screw...I thought most of it are standard size? am using back the old mount with the same screw hole.....
Got it direct from Orb Audio....sent out 17th Dec using UPS...and F*********** UPS, kena tax also din inform and straight away cleared it....15% duties + 10% sales tax.... , luckily the guys at the Orb very clever, the invoices are at their cost....

The Orbs look good.

Last time, wanted to buy the Boston Acoustic Cube... similar thing like this but when audition it in Hifi Shop in 1U, it sucks. So, I didn't buy. I use MS Genie as my surround now. Also not yet install. HA! Ha! Ha! But!... But!!! Everything will be up by this coming Sunday.

I'm using 3 of the KEF egss (HTS2001) as my surrounds (6.1 setup). Still looking for a 4th one to make it a 7.1 setup, so hard to find. They're small (with 4" uniQ driver), but after a movie, my friends couldn't believe the surround sound was coming from these small speakers, they thought it must be some bookshelves.

These Orbs are supposed to have the same quality, but I think they're from US, not Europe.

But I don't recommend them to be used as the fronts and center, those three fronts must have bigger drivers because they're the most important anchor to carry the movie's sound. I use the KEFs as surrounds because I want to wall-mount them easily, bookshelves will be very hard to do that. The surrounds are supposed to be about 1 foot higher than your ears. While the fronts must be at your ear height.

The Orbs are hand made in US.....

tested 300 with it, matrix to 7.1...using the scene where the spartan fighting the immortal....
I tell u, I've never heard so much details from the surround....this time I can hear the clear shouting, knifes hitting each other by my side, at my back.....

Told you all already. The surr speakers do make a big difference. Do not skimp on it. Some ppl using entry level surr speakers but mid range or high end front and center. How could you possibly enjoy it truly? That really amazes me! LOL.

mpyw, the Orb's look very good. just curious, what were your previous surround speakers?

Those are real nice orbs some more in white color

I plan to get a HT system but my gf will only let me buy white color speakers. Other than B&O i can't seem to find any white color wan. Any idea??? hehehe
