I prefer Lucky Star as each characther personafies a cliche characther in manga/anime, and that what the mangaka really wanted to do really
Kagamin - Tsukkomi Tsundere Kona-chan - Otaku Tsukasa - clumsy Miyuki - Brainy boin-chan Yutaka - sick Moe (no, it's not like you read it) Patricia - The weird foreign exchange student Hyori - Yaoi Fetish mangaka Minami - Shy flat girl Nanako sensei - Sensei (what else) And he did this without having any love story/ongoing storyline. Just pure everyday life, and that really beats anything except Azumanga Daioh really in term of laughter. FYI, during the recent Raki Suta manga poll, Kagain won, by a mile. Thus Tsundere is still in |

While tsundere is one of the factor but she can be considered as someone who is a little bit pushy especially something concerning her likes. She also takes deep consideration about other's feeling. She will do a task until it finished just to make sure the other side's requirement fulfilled. Even if she doesn't have the tsundereness in herself, she's already a good character by herself. Her kindness ranks her high, in my humble opinion.Kagamin - Tsukkomi Tsundere Kona-chan - Otaku Tsukasa - clumsy Miyuki - Brainy boin-chan Yutaka - sick Moe (no, it's not like you read it) Patricia - The weird foreign exchange student Hyori - Yaoi Fetish mangaka Minami - Shy flat girl Nanako sensei - Sensei (what else) And he did this without having any love story/ongoing storyline. And most of the times its Kagamin as the target |

This show is not even remotely funny. I don't see how Japanese in-jokes can be funny at all.
Kyo Ani or Aya whatever did not make a good show. What the show is sorely lacking is understandable humour and story. In summary, this anime is bovine excreta. This post has been edited by Stormy001_M1A2: Nov 6 2007, 05:14 AM |

Lucky Star sucess is due to its seiyuus (both regulars and guest), Studio reputation, Director reputation and advertising. not by its plot or script.

My top priority for good anime or movies is always plot and development. Guess this is really a non grata anime for me. Merde!

Kagamin is god. And no she's not tsundere. Minoru says so. So stop being noobs and insisting she is.

Kagamin is indeed a tsundere.. Minoru is making no sense with that bold statement.

QUOTE(redeye84 @ Nov 6 2007, 07:38 AM) 1.) No love interest.2.) Has to be a gradual change from tsun tsun to dere dere to her person of affection. But no such behaviour from Kagamin Thus not tsundere. This word is being misused and misunderstood alot even by otakuz that even Minoru is voicing out against it. QUOTE Tsundere is the antonym of yandere where a person is initially loving, then combative, often brutally so. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TsundereQUOTE The definition of the term has evolved to apply to not only characters who change from harsh to gentle but who are cold on the outside and kind internally But like Minoru i disagree with this. Do you dare to call Haman Khan, Makoto Kusanagi or Balsa a tsundere? |

Well
Plot and story is indeed important Thats why i prefer school rumble But when an anime is too heavy on story, eg gundam Seed every time i watch an episode, i feel like....gonna to watch another episode in order to know what happen next This kind of feelings really really sucks, make me unable to sleep on the other hand, i can stop watching lucky star at any episode, no such hard feelings it depends loo overall, i watch good anime, whether they have story or not |

well thats because you're watching a continuing series, its always "To Be Continue...." at the end of the story,of course la you are eager to watch the next epi....thoughts like "Kira gonna die, cannot be" or "i think Mwu is Kira's daddy for sure" or "OMG,i think the whole story is about KiraXathrun"
series like ShinChan,Doraemon,LS,Hayate have different story each epi...of course the next epi wont be related to the previous epi(although there is just a tiny-miny relation, usually character introduction) |

Seriously, I only watch Lucky Star till episode 8, then stop because there's so many other anime to watch for.
So far the best episode ever : the one that got Initial D parody.. |
