Lol, after visiting http://lucky-ch.com, i just found out that they replaced the original director Yutaka Yamamoto, who also did Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu in ep5 with Yasuhiro Takemoto, who did FMP, Fumoffu and FMP the second Raid.
Interesting enough, in episode 4 Konata mentioned that Y**** was in trouble with underperforming Nagato scene in Suzumiya Haruhi. XD

Read the manga. Because her mom died early, it was her dad that took care of her. And because he is an otaku and like to play EroGe in front of her, she took that from him.
Also google for Nakagawa Shoko aka Shoco-tan. This gravure idol is an otaku for the same reason. unfortunately for Konata she's too flat to be a gravure idol XD
I also lol'ed as at her 18th birthday she declared, "Now i'm legal to play EroGe openly!!"
