QUOTE(azamunekurone @ Jul 28 2020, 01:34 PM) its doppelganger fx frame. got many siries of fx, different in cosmetic and groupset. its japan brand bike, but made in china. the factory already stop production bikes as the company concentrate on motorcycle and bicycle accessories. and for what i know, the price are going high as demand for the discontinued model. if ur lucky can get it cheap. but i heard last time sold 1 used bike factory stock setup for RM1,500.00 very nice looking frame bydaway, its a good frame and really cheap (last time) and can get below 10kg weight when modified it (bike+mod) with a price of dahon dash! can refer here https://www.doppelganger.jp/ ![]() so ur current setup is below 10kg? |

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Aug 3 2020, 08:14 AM) Saddles are subjective. What works for me might not work for you kind of thing. Thanks for the sharing. Will measure my own sit bones So if possible, get your sit bones measured and find a saddle width that fits you at a shop. ![]() You can also DIY at home. Using cardboard. ![]() Using your kid's Play Doh or something similar. ![]() Then invest in a good saddle and cycling pants (with gel inserts if you choose). |

QUOTE(azamunekurone @ Aug 12 2020, 08:29 AM) actually, My trinx is the threaded 25.4most nowdays fork is 1 1/8 @ 28.6mm, also known as 1.125 diameter size for the stearer tube the different in folding bike is the headset system. some of bike manufacturer used threadless headset bearing such as dahon, tern, java and many more. the only different is stearer tube length of the fork.when the stearer tube length is different, the handlepost also will be different. usually threadless headset system the fork will be longer most of modern bike nowdays used this type of system some used threaded headset system such as trinx, mongoose and old dahon ![]() mostly, this is the type of handlepost used on threaded headset system and the fork length are short. ![]() and this threadless headset system kind of handlepost Planning to change the fork. Current is hi-ten steel fork. If I change the fork to threadless 28.6 meaning I need to change the headset and folding handlepost? Can I use back the same headset? |

Just change pedal yesterday. I’m surprise by just changing small thing like pedals can improve the smoothness when u cycle. Changing from normal plastic folding pedal to lightweight seal bearing pedal

QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Aug 15 2020, 12:32 PM) Plastic folding pedal are made with economical cost in mind. just never thought it will give a smoother ride. looks still ok la. acceptable Any seal bearing pedals are an improvement. In fact if you use a platform pedal you'll enjoy the extra stability too although it would look odd on a foldie |

what tires size do u all prefer? is there any big difference in terms of tires size? currently stock tires is 20"406 x 1.75. Does using smaller width will result in better ride? faster? smoother rolling? Thinking of trying 1.5 or 1.35 tires. lerijiso liked this post

QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Aug 24 2020, 10:17 AM) Ira is quite a worthy foldie actually, chromoly frame with carbon fork for less than rm2k even tern/Dahon don't offer such package at this price. for frame/fork - chromoly materials is better then aluminium alloy materials? i see mostly in the market is 6061 aluminium? there is some 7005 also if not mistaken? I cant remember the number exactly. hahhaajust that riding in Taman alone is not maximising the value only. As long as you're happy with the Bicycle, peduli apa orang kata. |

QUOTE(shsu @ Aug 27 2020, 04:18 PM) Hi, Got my entry level trinx life 2.0 7 speed for 799. Nothing to complain. Very good bike to start with. after long searching through the old entries, and also searching in the youtube and internet, I can notice that there are many information for the bikes >1000 RM. However for the low end price level, I cannot find clear enough suggestion, thus I dare myself to write my first post. Would you mind give recommendation for the lower price segment folding bikes? Really no other expectation, just folding bike with gears (no single speed), for short riding in the street and park. Any suggestion on what brand might be the best value for the following price ranges? Price level < 500 RM - I could find the following brand: Oscar Vogue, and Mongoose. Other china direct selling in Lazada I don't want to include. Price level 500 - 1000 RM - I could only find certain type from Crossmac Thank you very much. shsu liked this post
