Hi all kaki basikal...

Just wondering any possible to fit 4 units of 16" wheel (or smaller) folding bicycles into a small suv or seden with 4 pessangers... smile.gif

I am having two old 16" China cap ayam folding bike (once the bikes is folded, it is not as compact as new folding bike), menaged to squeeze in the Subaru XV and have a weekend light biking trip, but a family of 4 may have to take turn to ride the bikes.

Any suggestion which type of bikes can fit my needs... btw, no budget to get bigger car smile.gif

Thanks in advance!

You do have a rough idea of the size of a folded bike… and the size of your family members. Convert that to liters and see if your car has that much holding capacity.
Get a mini bus la.

There is a stereotype misconception that Foldies are small. In fact the are not. Foldies can fold down only as small as 2 wheels put side by side… which isn't small, just easier to stow away.

Thanks for the advise.

Look like need a van for the purpose smile.gif unless able to get the bike below....

I dont how big is his suv's boot size, but if it's large enough, should fit. Hehe

But yes the Abike is probably the safer bet. But OMG that wheel.  Feels like skateboarding mang..

Thanks for all the suggestions. I just try to fit 4 bikes in my car, thus, every family member can ride the bike individually smile.gif

I think 3 or 4 Banian single speed 14" bikes can fit the car boot with same arrangement, provided the folded size is about 2 feet. Will take a look on this bike. Btw, any Banian bike owners here? Please share your experience. https://bicyclebuysell.com/item/408184/bani...ding-bike-7-5kg

Thanks in advance!

You own a Renualt Kangoo to transport your bike? High maintain cost for Kangoo? I think it can fit a few folding bikes inside ☺ Thinking to get one... haha.

Expensive.
Great for storing in tight spaces and nothing else.

If got cheap one I will strip the belt drivetrain to play around.

Hi all,

I have a single speed 14" folding bike, thinking of getting another one, due to limited of car cargo space (max two bikes only), i am considering a basic 16" folding bike (20" is too big, can't put two bikes), plan to ride both bikes around taman area or parks.

With limited budget, looking at these two units:

https://bicyclebuysell.com/item/457326/16-q...al-lipat-11-4kg

https://bicyclebuysell.com/item/453168/trs-...ot-folding-bike

Please advise which one is better or any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

i have the xds fa20, not bad but need some mod or add on.

1. the frame there dont have screw hole to mount bottle holder...u need something like beto bottle holder (try search beto in lazada)

2. need to add mudguard (try search gub fender in lazada)

3. 48t crank with 14t-28t freewheel a bit slow, i mod with dnp 11t-28t for more top speed (optional mod, not critical if u comfortable with original speed)

4. the cheapo shifter might have chance to jam, need to a spacer to shift smoothly.

5. rear no comes with reflector, better add a rear blinking light (try search gub rear light in lazada)
if you can squeeze the space by slightly stacking both bikes (with a carpet in between to avoid scratch), the all-time favourite budget recommendation 20” Oscar Imagine seems better for Malaysia road.

i have both 16” and 20”, i ride the 20” more because bigger wheel much more comfortable.
*
Thanks for the advise!

I will try to fit the 20" together with 14" into the car cargo space, before I buy the 16" bike. Likely I will opted for the 16" TRS VOLGA (seller in klang valley), due to the XDS 16" fa20 seller is in Penang.

two things i don't like about that TRS VOLGA…

1. the disc brake increase weight
2. the fat tyre increase rolling resistance
*
Ya, I think the XDS fa-20 looks nicer. But I can't find it selling (advertise online) around Klang Valley. Found seller from Penang. Thus, i pick 2nd choice, TRS Volga.

any recommendation on child seat that can be used on an XDS FA-20?
*
16" bike can add child seat? Will it be too small for an additional child seat?

Btw, where did you bought the fa-20?

Thanks.

Hi all,

Is Raleigh UGO still a good buy?

I saw 1 listed for RM880 new.

Or should I get a used Tern C7 at RM1000?

Thanks.
*
Hi,

I have a mint condition Tern Link C7 white/grey (7 speeds) to let go...PM me, if you are interested.

Thanks.

ps: attached pix for reference purpose only, actual bike condition is about 9.5/10 same as new bike, seldom ride the C7, because I prefer my another smaller 14" bike.
