is it a big risk if short cage rd pair with 11-32t cassette? tried searching info and many say risky. just wanna know if anyone running it without any problem with big chain ring say, 52t / 53t?
*
Why risky? I think you need to check your short cage rd spec whether can support 11_32.

I am using 53t front and rear 11_28t

My 349 wheelset reach. Going to upgrade this weekend

yeah.. i had saw ads in fb about 1 java ira stock condition 0km up for sell and asking price for rm3.2k!

gile rclxub.gif

story about java last week,
i had one friend in kedah. that time my friend at his local bike shop getting spare tube. got 2 potential buyer scouting for folding bike.
one of them look like already had one, another one is still blurring what bike should he take. the expert one said to him

"java bike is the best and expert in folding bike made in italy. dahon and tern are lousy coz made in china and not a top brand"

my friend laugh and left them laugh.gif haiyoo.. this type of person making java bike more expensive than before  doh.gif i didnt said that java are not good, but the quality still cant match with dahon and tern. well u got what u paid for
*
saw that java ira 3.2k on the FB group, might as well order java aria full carbon from taobao / or java neo laugh.gif

i will take fnhon/dahon/tern over java tbh. laugh.gif

me on the otherway, my rb friend always took below 100km, thats why i enjoy using foldie more than rb. i will use my rb when above 130km cycling or when i want to get home fast laugh.gif
ya lor.. the price, and the current situation is like that. also saw newcomers just cycle less than a year declare as otai  doh.gif and becoz of their myth about java drag those brand become luxury priced
a video might help a bit. in ur case, i presume it maybe from the bold joining handlepost and fork.

if ur freewheeling, does that sound come?if got, then ur hub got problem
*
and Veroli folding bike going like RM2.2k in malaysia folding bike mrket. shocking, i cant understand Trs veroli can go so exp.

lucky in SG, most of the people will go for Crius bike (budget level : $600+- with all litepro parts with Sora groupset) , Tern /dahon who have more cash to splurge.

Anyway, got any budget cycle computer to recommend to measure cadence/bpm and can link to strava?

last time (few years back)
i measure the igpsport with my bryton and garmin

the igpsport somehow lost signal when comes to hilly side with big tree. and between those 3, igpsport elevation are a bit wierd. too high compare on both meter.
other than that, i think its ok. but that story long time ago, when igpsport newly launched

so for conclusion,
the cheapest gps cyclometer (unbranded or new brand) might lost calculation on elevation, as far as gps signal strength.

so do try and error 1st, or read review. last month, got 1 friend here in ipoh bought the xoss cyclometer. i didnt have the chance to try and test yet bcoz i also didnt meet him after that whistling.gif
*
Thanks for recommendations, maybe go for xoss g+ or brypton 15, will see review first,

Next upgrade will be hollowtech crank --> then bike computer . Lol.

Slowly budget upgrade

aiyookk? no need to grind if ur using schwalbe kojak tyre. the max ngam² tyre height is 32mm, that is kojak for 349.

i've tested innova tyre 349, claim it to be 32mm height, but i think it might be higher as i cant pump more than 80psi. that tyre recomended to pump 100-120psi, but higher than 80psi the tyre became bigger and will stuck at my friend gust frame
*
No choice, kojak 349 super expensive now. Lol $70 rm200 per piece.
My brother do some tweak on that part, knock knock a bit .

Super tight clearance, pumped around 85 psi or more, can't remember

But rolling speed improve tremendously, and faster, whole bike also lighter now, I think the new wheelset lighter.

Maybe will get kojak / marathon racer next time, saw one guy at Ipoh also, he using 349 + marathon racer on the 1606 trinx.

u cant fit marathon racer coz its 35mm height if im not mistaken. last time im on the same dilemma after converting my dabike to 349 wheels.

the thinnest tyre for 345 is joseph kousac that is 23mm, 2nd is kojak that is 32mm.. but u know lah, joseph kousac price is like a bomb!
its like channel handbag for brompton sweat.gif
hahaha... i pump 100 at the rear and 80 in front for on the road. so far no problem lah. if touring i pump 80psi at rear and 70 in front for comfort whistling.gif
*
I scare pancit, so thinking if can fit marathon racer.

after I went out for a ride on Friday night, then Saturday I realise my front tayar air a bit low.

Then I dismantle my tube and check, but can't find any leak. I repump, and now so far no leak already.

Look like I am gonna be careful when riding , cannot just hantam the road,

kenda also got same issue like this. i had expirienced same problem before. the best & durable tyre still schwalbe, but its bumpy and not comfort
*
Oh okay, if I can get cheap kojak, might be considering changing later. Maybe after few hundred kms first. Haha

Waiting the long varm brake to come, then can say is upgrade done.

Hi all.

New to foldable bike. Am actually planning to get one, but most of the online websites seem out of stock of foldable bike.

Any idea whether foldable bike's market still exist in Malaysia and how can I shop it?
*
Folding bike is hot demand nw, so everywhere out of stock, what's your budget?

hi there ..

Morning.

BTW, i have 2 foldies right now .. but have to let go one .. since my mum 'bising'

but .... dont know which one should i let go.

I got Mongoose 21 speed 20' & Gomax 20' 9 speed, both alloy frame. Usually use my bike to pusing2 taman or go to park and cycle around there.

Pls need help..

(Pix as per below attachment. Pix credits to owner)
*
Please take gomax, Cox 9speed, rear hub is freehub, not cogset like moongose.

With proper gearing, it can be fast, as in swap in 9speed 11-28/32t cassette and upgrade bigger front crankset.

My bro trinx ka2024 frame crack (below the seatpost) during today ride, after climb up one very steep overhead bridge.

Age of the bike : 5 year.

So he gonna upgrade the frame maybe minivelo , so that he can mantain all the parts.

Java CL frame or Mosso minivelo frame? Try to look around banian frame who have same design as tyrell fx, but no longer can find in taobao.

Or any other better recommendation? Dont too exp, pocket friendly.

Benefit of folding bike

After we realise there was crack, Fold+ call grab ( 6 seater to put two bike)
and went home

I believe the seat post is too long. The seat post must be change from original size am I right ?

Not sure
Maybe we overlook that part, you got a point there.

Decided to part out the parts and throw the frame , not going to repair it anymore.

Gonna build cheap custom carbon roadbike with sensah empire groupset.
