Eco park? free can ride together

QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Jun 12 2019, 06:48 PM)
I'm curious too!

Came across a used Java fit rm1k quite tempted but all the way in taiping when I'm in kl huhu

EDIT: nvm, I went ahead and bought a used 2019 Java Ira Pro 451. Let's hope it serves me well! First time riding such an expensive bike, I can feel the difference!

But it feels super bumpy when riding over brick road or bumps, is it because of the slim tyres?

Also, there is a little bit of scratchy sound whenever I extend the seat up and down, suspect due to some sand particles, is this normal, any way to remove it?  hmm.gif

Touring on folding is highly possible, on mountain, it all depends on gearing and ur leg power.

QUOTE(RNM @ Jun 30 2019, 09:27 AM)
Anyone do touring with folding bike? How excellent riding folding on mountain? Easier or have to push

I am obsessed with lightweight, this is about 7.0kg, commonly known as 412. i used this bike when i am overseas fits into smalll luggage without dismantling. if u cycle at 60rpm cadence you can easily get 20kmh.

14" with 13t rear cog is a big no no. unless u can put 60t front otherwise the ride will be like free wheeling all the time.
mine is a single speed with combo of 45t/9t just nice as on 60rpm i can get around 20kmh.

QUOTE(clickNsnap @ Jul 5 2019, 12:02 AM)
It is a 14" FD with single speed (11T) or inner multi-speed gear? 7kg is very light thumbsup.gif

My cheap 14" FD single speed (13T) is a bit slow, sometime felt like "hamster on a wheel" and heavy...9 to 10+/-kg biggrin.gif

Don;t buy 24" neither here nor there, but 22 or commonly known as 451.
Frankly wheel size only have so much effect on the speed, you can upsize ur crank to get the speed you want.

After looking around, I think I would like to get a folding bike. Seems to fit with my lifestyle better, anyone has any recommendations on where I check out some of the bikes? Also, is 24 inch that rare? I feel that the 20" wheel a little small.

Not possible as the rear hub width for 14" fnhon is 85mm and i got a java x3 with shimano nexus hub with the width of 115mm(?can't remember exactly) for 14" my setup is 3 speed external 9,13,17t front crank depending on your frame can go for 47t,53t or 56t. Fnhon1401 supports max crank of 47t, 1402 ant leg frame can take 53t no issue and my latest 1416 can take 53t no issue.

If u go for single speed i find 45t front and 9t back the best combo. but i highly recomend 3 speed as the weight penalty is not much.

QUOTE(nas445 @ Feb 14 2020, 07:44 PM)
Is it possible to build a 14' fnhon foldie with an internal hub? Is it an issue to get a 14' rim suitable for internal hub?

this is a very solid bike, the weight also solid at 10kg, but can accomodate big crank in front, shorter wheelbase than fnhon

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Feb 16 2020, 11:22 AM)
might well just get a Java X3

Planning to go to Kyoto/Osaka this coming April. Planning to cycle from Kyoto to Osaka one way, around 60km. Most probably will bring a 14' from here..

Do you have any photo on how you pack the 14' into a luggage? Any idea whether it's doable to do the distance on a 14'?

covid can't travel so gotta revert to a larger wheel for speed and distance.
14" 16" all masuk store waiting for air travel to be opened back.
Anyway becareful with smaller wheel like 14" especially when passing bump or potholes, a lady friend of mine just fell, landed on face ,chin has to be patched up, leg n palm all kena. due to bump. she say on roadbike can just ride thru, 14 inch terbalik

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Jan 2 2021, 04:54 PM)
eh..i thought u wanna get rid all your 20" bike...how come bought this pulak?  biggrin.gif

btw, i just pulled the trigger on 3-speed Fnhon 14"...kena your poison.
